Restore Clean Water System {Review}

There is a rumor in the small town where I live that the water here is bad to drink...Don't ask me exactly what is wrong with it but until I got pregnant I thought, what can be so bad about it? Well wanting to have a healthy baby can sure make you change your eating/drinking habits. Needless to say about 8 months ago my hubby and I started buying water at the store. It tasted better, I felt better about drinking it, and we were happy...Until I started dreading going to the store and having to lug my water containers there...Not to mention it wasn't exactly cheap. I had almost gone back to drinking tap water when I got the chance to try the Restore Clean Water System by Homedics. The fancy sounding name makes it sound complicated, but this is really a simple process that will make it a lot easier for you to enjoy fresh, clean water at home. The Restore system is similar to other ones you may be familiar with in that it is a water pitcher that filters your water for safe and clean drinking. What is unique about this system is that it also exposes your water to UV light, which contributes to keeping your water free from bacteria, viruses and other pollutants. The UV light component is something that the store bought water did but I noticed that many of the other "at home" purification systems did not. One of the things I was a little worried about was that the process would be cumbersome and that I would get tired of waiting for the water to purify. Actually the whole process is really very simple and the UV light exposure only takes about 60 seconds, something I can easily do while finishing up the dishes or eating breakfast. The water also tasted great after I was done filtering it which was a huge incentive. Another positive is that we are able to store the water in our own containers here at home, I know a lot of people have a fear of storing in plastic so if you choose to transfer the water to a different container it is very easy to do so. To find out more about this great product visit www.homedics.com/restore. On the site you can find a link to a video showing you how this water system works. (I received free product in order to obtain my honest opinion, all opinions are my own.)

Congratulations Domanda3 the randomly selected winner of the Sleepy Brand Pajamas!

Have you entered these giveaways?

Perricone Coupon; Gentle Cleanser {Giveaway}

I can't be the only person that gets a bit overwhelmed when it comes to skin care, beauty products, etc. I don't have super sensitive skin, but when winter hits my face turns into some sort of battle ground and my skin never looks all that great. I never know what to use either, I want something that's not going to dry my skin out further. I was excited when I got the chance to try the Gentle Cleanser from Perricone MD. The Gentle Cleanser is fortified with olive oil poly phenols -- these are hydrating antioxidants that provide cell protection while simultaneously soothing dry or sensitive skin. It easily removes the debris and make up while freshening up your skin. I really like that it's made with olive oil though. In my experience and from reading different things on Olive Oil, it's great for your skin. I use it on my children more than anything else when they have really rough skin, and the only thing for the first week or so when my children are born. What better than an actual cleanser for me to use that uses olive oil as well. I've been using it on and off for sometime now and my face always feels clean after using.

If you've never heard of Perricone MD, it's a company in the USA, created by a well-known clinical and research dermatologist Dr. Nicholas Perricone. View the site for a Perricone Coupon.

Tinytongs {giveaway}

Having small children I'm always looking for creative ways to get my children to eat and anything to help with messes is definitely an extra bonus in my house. Both my four and two year old have been testing and using the Tinytongs that we were given for review. The Tinytongs definitely exceeded my expectations - they really help my kids get food easily to and from their mouths unlike spoons and forks where the food just slips and slides off. The fit is perfect for little hands, with a non-slip grip and curved shape it's perfect. There are also gripping ridges to pick up food effortlessly. Tinytongs have also been designed to help strengthen hand muscles which are used later for hand writing. Made from polypropylene and TPE, are non-toxic, lead, BPA and Phtalate free. Tinytongs have encouraged my children to eat too -- something fun and unique and comes in four colors.

Buy It! Get your tiny tongs at juvenile product stores nationwide or shop online at www.tinytongs.com. Use coupon code miff20 and receive a 20% discount off your purchase.

A Mother's Boutique {Giveaway}

Ever since I had the chance to work with Judy from A Mother's Boutique, I always find myself going back to the site and her fantastic blog. The site carries many different brands and styles of maternity and nursing apparel as well as lots of other products a mother may need. I like her blog too because of the articles, information, breastfeeding support as well as the great updates regarding A Mother's Boutique. If you are looking for something in particular or just browsing for something fabulous, this is a great site to check out.

I had the opportunity to review the lovely Larrivo, Emily Tunic in the Madison's Garden print with the cute Ella Jacket in black from A Mother's Boutique. The tunic is very comfortable and flattering, easy to nurse in with the drop cup and hidden button snap, making it very easy to put up and down when a baby needs to nurse quick and you need to put yourself together easily. This has a built in patented NutureBra Support System, it does have pretty good support (unlike many built in type of shirt/bra's I've tried). I love the selection of colors available and the length making it very flattering. I can't wait to pair it with the super soft Ella Jacket to really dress is up a bit more. This little jacket can be paired with the tunic so you can wear it all year round, or you could easily pair it with any cute dress or shirt. This tunic is also made to wear during pregnancy - so you have a top that fits during and after pregnancy. View all Larrivo products available at A Mother's Boutique.

Check out the great sales A Mother's Boutique has going on right now for Black Friday!

Win! One lucky reader will win their choice of either the Larrivo, Emily Tunic or Emily Chemise Dress in either the Skye or Madison’s Garden color from A Mother's Boutique. To Enter -

Pop Art, 5-in-1 Tasty Baker {Review & Discount}

I'm not exactly a cooking machine, but when I make my kids pancakes I really enjoy shaping them into different characters about as much as they like eating them. The 5-in-1 Tasty Baker from the Pop Art Toaster Store looked like a great product for our family. The Tasty Baker is a lot like what I remember of a waffle iron, but comes in 5 different shapes; bunny, cat, birthday cake, block, train, smiley face, and heart and cooks in 1/3 of the time of the traditional way of cooking (for most products.) We've made pancakes, brownies and muffins and all cooked fairly well and were fun yummy treats. Clean up is pretty easy, as it comes with a cleaning brush and as long as you butter both the top and bottom and things don't get stuck in the tiny crevices it's not bad. Also included is a very handy little scoop so you get just the right about of batter into the molds. The 5-in-1 Tasty Baker is also available in the Disney Princess and Mickey Mouse. Pop Art Toaster Store.com also has many other products for purchase.

Buy It! Use coupon code PAT0509 for $5 off a minimum purchase of $25 (before Shipping/Handling) at Pop Art Toaster Store.com. What a fun way to whip up breakfast or treats while family is visiting over the holidays!

Apple Cheeks {giveaway}

Most cloth diapering mommy's I know are always looking for that perfect diaper. One that will fit a chunky baby and a thinner child, something that's easy to use for mommy and daddy, doesn't leak and you can depend on. Ever since I first heard about the AppleCheeks diapers awhile ago I wanted to try them and I've had the great opportunity to test out the AppleCheeks MiniTests cloth diaper, size 2, in the Mrs. Robinson color and with the Bamboo inserts. I have been nothing but satisfied when using this diaper. My son is 14 weeks, 15 pounds and has a big belly and super chunky legs so often times diapers leave marks on him when trying to get the appropriate fit for thighs and belly. With the AppleCheeks diaper I am able to use the two row snap settings by having them snap on different settings for the top and bottom, making for a better fit. This diaper has elastic in both the front (belly) and back, which helps contain the messes. I hate when your baby poos while sitting on your lap and it goes all the way up their back because these isn't anything stopping it - the elastic really helps with that! The diaper has a waterproof shell and a micro-fiber soft lining with extra big tabs and what I really like is the extra wide envelope style opening for stuffing inserts. This is located in the middle to back part of the diaper and unlike many diapers there is no need to remove the inserts when washing because they are able to come out on their own. My husband was thrilled with this option, making it be one of his favorites to change! The bamboo inserts are fantastic for absorbing and are flat, just needing to be folded over. These have become my new favorite inserts for sure! This diaper when having more than one insert does give your child a bulky tooshy.

AppleCheeks diapers are made in Canada and have excellent customer service. You have a question, they'll get you the answer. You want colors - pick from ten gorgeous colors for your AppleCheeks diapers. I also love the How To Tutorials on these diapers - they are definitely worth watching.

Win! One lucky reader will win a AppleCheeks prepackaged MiniTest. (Anyone who has either won an AppleCheeks™ giveaway before or who has received a sample to review is not eligible to enter this contest.) To Enter -

Wallflowers {giveaway}

I love to decorate for Christmas and love unique items and art work around my home. Not just for the holidays but for everyday and for my children's rooms that I'm really getting into decorating lately. I recently had the opportunity to work with Michelle Meyer, owner and creator of the lovely products from her online Studio - Wallflowers. I received the most lovely acrylic lemon painting - "Lemon With Blossoms." It's 5X5 and thick, painted completely on canvas, and I can easily hang it up or let it sit on my counter top. The painting is absolutely beautiful, and well made. It adds just what I wanted for my kitchen. Wallflowers also carries some great designs for children - personalize them with your child's name, birthday, baby info, etc to make the perfect gift. I love how these canvas' are completely painted on all four angles and are 1 1/2" thick, so if you hang them they can be seen from all angles. Choose from boys or girls and just in time for the Holidays; Christmas. What a great gift! You must check out the gallery, I absolutely love the flower paintings. Also check out Michelle's blog to learn more about her and her Wallflower Studio.

Nimli - $1 Scarves on Black Friday!

I never get the chance to actually go out and hit the big sales on Black Friday - maybe because the kids are young and it's more of a hassle to get someone to watch them and then head into the madness. With that being said - I'm going to be checking out the sales online, that's for sure!

Scarves are all the rave lately and Nimli is selling Silk Scarves for $1 on Black Friday.

K'NEX {Review}

Have you seen the K'NEX commercials? They are definitely appealing to my children and even appealing to an adult, well at lease this adult. Team Mom provided us with the K'Nex, Police Car Building Set from the Sesame Street Neighborhood Collection, for children aged 2-5 years old. Both my son and daughter have been having fun building and playing with this fun toy that inspires creativity by building and playing. Easily put together, with chunky pieces, and wheels for the car it's been a fun and well liked product. Most kids really like Elmo and the Sesame Street characters so adding a toy that doesn't "talk" to you but you get to be creative with and build is great. What's also really nice about this product is that it doesn't have to be just a police car - it can be built into many different things making nothing necessarily being the "correct" way which I like. There are even more building ideas on the box. Liking the idea? There are four individual sets you can purchase that are designed to coordinate with each other or be used alone. Ice Cream Truck Building Set, Police Car Building Set, 1-2-3 Brownstone building Set and the Police Station Building Set. Lots of fun that are good for development with your preschoolers!

Have older children, or not interested necessarily in the Sesame Street, check out the other awesome products K'NEX has to offer. Products are available at Target, Walmart and Toys 'R' Us.

You have a chance to win over $1000 worth of K'NEX Toys and be featured on the KNEX.com website. How you ask? Well you need to make a video and include select K'NEX products. The possibilities are endless. Construct your own story or showcase your child's K'NEX Building skills. Use your imagination. Official Rules are available at www.KNEX.com. Ends December 7th, 2009 and you must be 18 years or older.

Amon Maternity {giveaway} EXTENDED

The holidays are here and more than ever everyone wants to look fabulous when you're out and about, visiting and seeing family you haven't seen in awhile. I know with my little guy only being 13 weeks, I'm still having a hard time fitting into some of my old clothing, but with the help of the body shaper from Amon Maternity I'm able to fit into a few more and look slim and trim all while still being comfortable. I love wearing my body shaper from Amon Maternity, not only does it have great support for my tummy and mid-section (something that I need since I had a muscle separation that is still repairing) but it really makes me look slimmer. It's very comfortable, I don't feel like I have something sucking me in, just something to hold those jiggles to makes me look sleek. I really like the breath ability of the microfiber fabric and that the body shaper stretches easily. These do tend to run on the smaller side so I'd order a size up if you are in between sizes. I got the small and it was rolling down, making it uncomfortable but as soon as the medium came I had no problems at all and the fit was great. Available in three different colors and at a price that's easily affordable. Look great these holidays with a body shaper from Amon Maternity.

You can read my review on the behold band for pregnancy. I absolutely loved mine and plan to give it a lot of use when/if we are blessed with another pregnancy sometime in the future.

Buy It! Want one of the fantastic products from Amon Maternity,use coupon code FLIPFLOP for 10% off your entire purchase. Expires 12/31/09.

Win! One lucky reader will win a $50 gift certificate to Amon Maternity. To enter-
