Parenting By Nature - Review & Giveaway! (CLOSED)

I'd like to say that the majority of the time my husband I parent by doing the most natural thing and try to do what's best for our children. Parenting By Nature is a great site for others striving in that same direction.
Parenting By Nature has some great products from baby carriers, cloth diapers, natural toys, clothing and much, much more. A selection that is definitely worth taking a look at. The site is also full of great babywearing 101 instructions and tips for even the most experienced baby wearer. I'm really enjoying the cloth diaper 101 section as well. There always seems to be more to learn when searching in that area. Parenting By Nature isn't just a business to sell you things, they are there with support, encouragement and ready to assist with any questions you may have. Check out the site for a lot of great products.

I reviewed the UpMAMA hybrid ring sling and was very satisfied with the quality for this carrier. It's easy to put on, place your child in and adjust. I'm definitely looking forward to using this with our new little one and with Amelia as much as I can with the bump getting bigger by the day. This is my first ring sling and I'm very pleasantly surprised, I love my baby carriers and this is just one more to add to my list. I really love the pocket with zipper for keys and other items so you don't have to carry around a purse when not necessary. The instructions were very good that came with this sling, web links to watch before wearing your baby, and was wrapped very nicely. When receiving so nicely and with the encouragement it made me want to visit the site for more information and contact them just because of how kind they are.

Check out Parenting By Nature and see what items would suit you. For mom, baby, child and more!

Boob Clothing - Review & Giveaway! (CLOSED)

Finding maternity clothing that is chic and makes you feel incredibly hot seems like a chore to me. Or should I say it used too? I hate looking frumpy, I want to look cute and feel good while sportin' my bump. I don't just want a t-shirt and a pair of sweats, I want something sheak and fabulous. Boob maternity is beyond my dreams.

I was delighted to review the maternity winter '08 line for Boob. I've already reviewed the nursing apparel awhile back, you can read that review here. However, the maternity apparel jumped up to my top love list for maternity apparel. I was able to review a few different items and every single one of them fits me great and really gives that chic, sexy look that we all want to feel once in awhile! The transformer T is 100% organic cotton, soft and beautiful. I love the belt that you can either put up above your belly or below, either looks fabulous. The pants (B*Hollywoods) look so chic. If only I could wear them the entire pregnancy. The fit is beyond great, I have the worse time finding pants that fit and look great and these are absolutely amazing! They zip up the size, have a wider look, are soft and very chic. The maternity hood is so cute and shows off your cute belly. This is something I would love to wear even if I wasn't pregnant. It's soft, has two cute pockets and a cute button by your breasts. My favorite was the maternity long sweater with the front panel pocket over your belly. It's long and can be dressed up or down. I've even tried it with a pair of leggin's and it's look hot! All the items I reviewed were a size small and fit well. I'm going into a size medium. They fit snug but great. Sizing is pretty accurate if your wondering for shopping. I cannot say one bad thing about any of the clothing, it's a MUST have!

Boob has tons of basic's, dress up and dress down clothing. I can't even pick just one thing, I want to add it all to my closet. The nursing apparel is very cute as well and it's hard to look good in apparel that is easy to nurse your baby in. Check them out!

Win It!

Boob would like to make 4 Momma In Flip Flops2 readers very happy. They're giving away 2 Transformer T's in size medium and 2 hoods in size small (both are from the winter '08 line) pictured is the transformer t, the hood is equally as cute, but more casual. *Note Sizes* To enter.

The Pepper kids brings you great unique, yet simple fun products hand crafted in the USA. You will find some great products that you will most definitely want to get your hands on.

My son had the opportunity to review the adorable sorting clock from Melissa & Doug that The Pepper Kids carries. This clock has brought nothing but fun to our family, learning our numbers, shapes and even though he's a bit young we've been learning how to tell time and what it's all about. I love toys that don't require a battery and help your child learn and use their imagination, that's exactly what this product was all about. I will definitely be looking into more Melissa and Doug items in the future.

The Pepper Kids has everything from bedding, decor, items for boy and girls, babies, furniture and much more. You are going to be able to find a wide variety of items at The Pepper Kids. Diaper Style (RMD) - Review & Giveaway! (CLOSED)

I love to find new cloth diapers that work and fit great. I've done reviews with Diaper Style before and Skye is amazing - she knows what diapers are great and love to get the word out about them through reviews. A great diaper we reviewed from Diaper Style is the Rocky Mountain Diapers, one-sized, pocket diaper.

This one-sized diaper is different from other one-sized diapers I've tried. The size adjust ability is built inside the diaper, and is elastic that can be pulled and loosened with a snap fastener depending on your babies size. I like the hidden snap system, it works great and is easy to use. It stays put until I'm ready to change the size months later. This diaper fits well too, it has snap closures on the front that are very easy for putting on and off. It has a good trim fit, with soft suede cloth and PUL that's been working wonderfully, great leg gatherings and I haven't had to worry about leaking once. The back opening for the insert is big enough and easy to fit prefolds or other inserts and they stay put. I do have a little bit of problem with wing droop in this diaper, but nothing more than others that I have. This Rocky Mountain diaper comes in five different color combinations for your liking.

Diaper Style has lots to choose from when looking for cloth diapers and other great products. Baby-wearing, covers, wipes, breast feeding supplies, skin care, mommy products, wetbags, and tons more. Check out Diaper Style today! Use coupon code "first10" and get 10% off you purchase.

Nowali - Review & Giveaway! (CLOSED)

Let me say I love moccasins and so does the rest of my family. Just to catch you up to speed, my sister bought my 1.5 year old stylish moccasins for almost what I paid for them because she couldn't find a pair like it. Yep, we love our moccasins! Visit Nowali for moccasins for kids - excitement.

The Nowali moccasins we reviewed are for children's feet, they are like socks and a shoe and stay on your children's feet. I actually purchased something like this in the past and my daughter would not keep them in, they were too much like a pair of socks. These however, she absolutely loves, keeps on and wears all day long. They are super soft, and very cute. I really love the fit of these and how many selections their are to pick from. The non-slip sole is great for our hard wood floors and the fact that they are machine washable is a much in our house. I am very happy with these and so is my daughter.

Nowali has moccasins for pretty much any size foot, slipper socks, adult socks and moccasins, baby socks, tights, clothing, sunglasses and more. Check them out.

Wat-Aah - Review & Giveaway! (CLOSED)

Are you up for the challenge? The Wat-Aah challenge that is? I was and was very excited to put the challenge to the test with my two children. I can see that look on your face, what in the world are you talking about. I'm talking about the Wat-ahh Challenge and getting your kids to drink water.

The Wat-aah challenge is putting the wat-aah bottles next to other drinking products in your fridge (soda, juice, etc), don't a word and see what your children do. My kids reactions were classic. My son is 3.5 years old and saw the pink and blue bottle in the fridge, of course asking what they were I explained they're "wat-aah", he looks at me and goes - "Mom, wat-aah... umm... that's water". I about fell on the ground laughing. However he chose the blue bottle and drank it the rest of the evening. However after awhile he realized it was just regular water and wanted his juice again. My daughter on the other hand wouldn't drink anything but her wat-aah and it had to be in the bottle it came in. I even filled it up again with filtered water and she kept on it. Great because she's not much of a drinker of any kind and if she does it's juice only. I loved the challenge, are you ready to challenge your kids? Remember, water is nothing but pure water with the essential minerals for your child's health.

About Wat-Aah: "WAT-AAH! is the epitome of a momprenuer! We are a small business launched by four determined mothers and one concerned father. Our mission is to fight the battle against childhood obesity and to teach kids that healthy bodies can be obtained through healthy hydration. Together with our 12 kids, we have created an appealing brand-- a brand full of enough attitude and spunk, enough to convince kids to stay away from sugar-laden beverages like sports drinks, sodas and "fruit" juices." Visit the site here and learn more about it. Put your children to the wat-aah challenge. I would love to know how they react.

Win It!

National Laugh Friendly Month!

Yes my laughing friends, you read that correctly. February is laugh friendly month and I'm definitely full of laughter. Let me let you in on something - my son used to pretend phone and laugh because that's what he heard the most. Hey, at least we're happy people, right? =)

This post is all about donating a $1 to the Nana Star Foundation, benefiting sick children and under-resourced schools. You'll get this fabulous button to wear around a dollar really isn't all that much. Read more about this here. Awhile back I did a review on the Nana Star products, my son and daughter absolutely love them and the books are a huge hit. They even come with CD's of the story and lets just say they're getting wore out. Definitely something to take a look at for your kids.

I had to add this from the site for you to read: You're Living a Laugh Friendly Life If...

1. You've been "shushed" in public places for laughing too loudly!
2. You have lines at the corners of your eyes from laughing and smiling everyday (and you have no intention of getting Botox).
3. You end most emails with a smiley face (and don't care if it annoys the recipient).
4. When you're having a meal with friends or family in a public place, everyone wonders what you're laughing about.
5. Your kind words outweigh your curse words. (That can be a tough one.)
6. You find yourself complimenting service rather than complaining about it.
7. Your kids get embarrassed and act like they don't know you because of how loud your laughter is.
8. You laugh so hard your beverage comes through your nose!
9. You snort when you laugh (even though it's not very ladylike).

Rudolph Pork Rinds - Review!

Have you ever tried Pork Rinds? I had never tried them until this review because quite honestly they sounded disgusting. I was excited to get them around New Years to distribute to my entire family for a big family review. Rudolph Foods is the worlds largest manufacture of Pork Rinds.

After a family review nobody was all that amazed by the Pork Rinds. Once we got past the smell of them they weren't a big hit. My daughter (19 mo) loved them, my brother in law and myself could actually eat them, but they weren't something we'd regularly want to eat on a regular bases. Definitely the hot and spicy ones were the route we preferred over the regular Pork Rinds. I don't know if I would ever buy these again, but trying yes - especially after I got some tips from Rudolph Foods on five fun ways to eat them:
1. Add a touch of cream cheese and garnish with a jalapeno. 2. Serve with guacamole or fresh tomato salsa for dipping. 3. Swap pork rinds for tortilla chips in a taco salad for a low-carb meal. 4. Crush up pork rinds to use in place of bread crumbs on fish or chicken – great for diabetics. 5. Use ground up pork rinds to make a healthier pizza crust. Something to try next time we try out the Pork Rinds.

A little about Pork Rinds and Rudolph Foods -

"Rudolph Foods is the world’s largest manufacturer of pork rinds. They are based in Lima, OH but are distributed nationwide and have several plants across the country. As a regional favorite, pork rinds have a long quirky history. This cured pork skin snack has been around for more than 3,000 years but has only been sold in a bag since the 1930s. You can now find them fried, pickled and microwavable. Everyday people like construction workers, corporate executives and even former President George H. W. Bush have said that pork rinds are their favorite snack!

High in flavor, low in cost, pork rinds are the perfect snack for crunching! Not only a quirky southern snack, they are also surprisingly healthy. Pork rinds contain only 80 calories per serving and have zero carbs, which makes them perfect for dieters, diabetics and anyone watching their weight. "

Check out Rudolph Foods to get some Pork Rinds for your family. I'd love to know if you've ever had them, how do you eat them and do you like them?

Childish Clothing - Review & Giveaway! (CLOSED)

While your pregnant you should never have to look frumpy just because your sportin' the bump? Or atleast I don't think you should. Having this be my third baby I got big really fast and was wearing maternity clothing into my second month. It's also difficult because you are different sizes throughout your pregnancy (or at least I am). I love to find a place that has cute, fashionable maternity clothing to help me look fabulous. Childish Clothing carries Maternity that's a bit different and cute!

I was excited to get the fashionable Heidi maternity jeans to try out. They're stretch so they hug your body. I got the medium (I would get the large next time and most mediums do not fit me yet) and they're a bit tight in the thighs but I LOVE the waste line. They don't have the loops to pull small or big and they don't have a big elastic back on them. They're just stretching and bigger. They feel so comfortable and actually stay on my butt. I won't be able to wear them through my whole pregnancy but definitly in these beginning months. Childish also carries jewelry, dresses, tops and more for preggo momma's.

Be sure to check out their children clothing too - unique and cute! Check them out - Childish Clothing for Maternity, Baby & Kids!

Safety Caps - Giveaway! (CLOSED)

Some of you may remember the review I did on safety caps awhile back. If not, or you want to read about what I had to say last time, you can click here.

Safety caps are great and I'm still loving them months after using them. Safety caps are bigger than regular safety outlet plugs, so they aren't a choking hazard. They even have little holes in them. I really like them and my children can't get them out either. They are more of a clear color as well so they aren't as noticeable. I would recommend these to anyone and will never go back to the regular choking ones - I freak out at the thought of anyone choking and these are the way to go. They aren't even that expensive. Take a gander here. Read other recommendations as well.

I don't know about anyone else but it's really hard for me to find a baby-sitter. We're not from this area and pretty much all the people I know do not have children for a evening baby-sit. Skin MD Natural + SPF 15 - Review & Giveaway! (CLOSED)

I really despise winter for lots of reasons but the fact that dry skin plagues me when the winter months is here is a really good reason to bring up. Seriously my legs are so dry and itchy I get sores on them and it stinks. I was excited to get the chance to try out the Skin MD Natural + SPF 15.

Skin MD is a shielding lotion and it really does work like that. It's not sticky or leaves you feel greasy, but when you feel it after a couple of minutes of wearing, it really feels like you have a protective layer over your skin. It's supposed to help keep your skin hydrated. From my experience if I'm consistent with it it helps my skin a lot, but to actually heal what already is a problem it was taking so long I gave up. The same for my daughter. I do like it for a regular lotion though to keep me protected and hydrate my skin. The Skin MD Natural + SPF 15 is great for protecting your skin from sun exposure. I'm not outside all that much in the winter, but I know how important it is to protect your skin so this would be great. You can read more about it here.

I know many people have problems with things irritating their skin - Skin MD is hypoallergenic, fragrance and colorant free, dermatology tested and more. Be sure to check it out, this might just be what you're looking for.

Win It!

ColorMe Company - Review & Discount Code

I absolutely love to find something that's unique, and still works great. After finding out about ColorMe Company I was super excited because they have items that I would love to get your family and friends that aren't just your regular old things.

ColorMe Company has tons of different products from pillowcases, shirts, cards, stockings and items for whatever you're into - horses, patriotic, angels, planes, animals, etc. They even have kits for parties. What you do is purchase whichever item you like (we got the pillowcase with airplane on it), it then comes in a nifty little bag with the item you chose, fabri-markers, postcards of the item, crayons, their story and directions. This is geared for 7 and up and I agree. My son is younger, but my husband and him had fun doing it together. It was easy to do and turned out very cute. I love all the options and to show off your child's work is great!

Your child could become a ColorMe artist - check it out here! How fun. Read about their story here. This would be a great gift for the artist in your life, or even for a slumber party or other get together with kids - what a great way to remember the fun time you had. Use coupon code colormelovesmoms and get 20% off your purchase. What's your favorite product from their site?
