Celebrate Life Nutrition {Giveaway Has Ended}

Have you ever wished there was a chocolate that actually curbed your appetite, and was still satisfying and delicious? Celebrate Life Nutrition believes they have that product. With the natural products in the chocolates and eating just awhile before your meal these are supposed to tell your body you are full and your appetite decreases. You can read a lot more about this on the website.

I received the Celebrate Chocolate Classic Coca-Covered Almonds. I can't say I actually had a decrease in appetite when trying these, but my hormones are still adjusting to a new baby and breastfeeding and I go from having an appetite to not wanting to eat at all. However, I have read the other reviews and it looks as though many believe these work! I can say that I am not a big almond fan and the Cocoa-Covered Almonds are delicious. The rich, dark chocolate taste was amazing! I don't feel like I have to eat the entire bag either, they taste great but after a few I'm satisfied... so I guess you can say they do work somewhat, because usually I can eat an entire bag of snickers without thinking about it.

Celebrate Life Nutrition has other products as well, the Chocolate Truffles sound amazing!

Win! One Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win their own bag of the Cocoa-Covered Almonds! To enter-

Bumbleride {Review}

Having three children under the age of four I'm definitely in need of a good double stroller. I wouldn't say I'm all that picky when it comes to strollers, but there are some definite must have's to be able to get around easily. I was excited to get the opportunity to work with Bumbleride, and review the Indie Twin Double Stroller and Carrycot Accessory. For the most part I like what Bumbleride has to offer with this double stroller. Some of my favorite features are the big swivel wheels, they're fantastic and actually lock if you don't want them swivelling around for brisk walks. The recline is better than all the other strollers I've ever used and that you can individually recline each seat and the long adjustable foot rest. I love that each seat has it's own canopy and also a zip on and off additional canopy. The adjustable handle is fabulous, my husband and I are on the shorter side but when it comes to my family pushing or anyone taller it's great to be able to just adjust the handle so easily. What's also neat about this stroller is that you can have a car seat on one side and the other side just normal; great if you don't want to remove that sleeping baby out of the car for the stroller, just pop the infant seat in (only compatible with certain seats). Check out the awesome storage compartment, if you need a double stroller you can bet you need storage! The Bumbleride comes with many other features that you can browse and read through on the site.

The Carrycot is neat as it's a bassinet like baby carrier and is compatible with many of the Bumbleride products. Easily put your baby in and take them out in the carrycot from the stroller when need be. It'd definitely unique, I tend to wear my babies in baby slings/wraps but the purpose and function of the product is cool. Bumbleride has many accessory items to purchase and different types and colors of strollers depending on your what your style and taste is as well as your life style needs.

I'm happy to give you more insight on this product if are interested from my point of view. Just email me!

Shannons Custom Creations {Giveaway Has Ended}

I love decorating my house and finding those special products that look great. We're slowly updating all the rooms in the house we purchased nearly three years ago to fit more of our style and the style that appeals to others when it comes time to sell. One decor item I really like are painted letters to hang saying different things. I received the ever so perfect for my bedroom, "L.O.V.E" letters from Shannon's Custom Creations. Painted in a beautiful white, with custom maroon flowers in just a few places on the letters really stands out in my room, matches perfectly and looks fantastic. I had her place ribbons on my letters for hanging and it makes it look even better. It really gives a bare wall a little flare without going for a painting or photo's pictures.. definitely different and you can pick whatever wording you would like. 'Dream', 'Love', 'Family', you name it. Shannon's Custom Creations is all about customizing it for your look. Easily pick the different wall hangings you're looking for too. . . Signs for your children, Engraved signs, pick the name, script and color. I think this kind of decor is adorable for children's rooms as well and she has many to choose from. Even get them themed to match other decor. What a great idea for Christmas decor, easily change up your look for the season - 'Believe' is very popular! You decide!

Every Little Detail {Giveaway Has Ended}

Awhile back I did a review for Every Little Detail, the site with some really cute clips, hair bows, binky clips, beanies and more. With so much interest in the Nursing Covers from the readers I had the opportunity to check them out for myself... and yes, they are just as lovely as they look on the website!

Sometimes it's so nice to have a Nursing Cover when going out in public. I'm all about nursing discreetly and believe all mothers should be able to feel comfortable nursing out in public, but sometimes it makes mothers feel better having a cover and for those little grabby babe's that like to pull on clothing, covers are great. The lovely Nursing Cover I received from Every Little Detail works great, the quality is good and the different fabrics to choose from are fantastic. It was so hard to decide which fabric I wanted more. Easily put the nursing cover over your head, draping the material around your baby, look easily down at baby with the easy adjustable neck. Also a nice little pocket to store items while nursing and while on the go!

Buy It! Wanting to purchase, or maybe you aren't in the need of a nursing cover? Check out the other items to purchase at Every Little Detail and use coupon code flipflop25 and take 25% off your purchase!

Momzelle {Review & Discount}

As a breastfeeding mother now for nearly non-stop for four years I'm learning how to make breastfeeding in public and in general a lot easier. One of those ways is by wearing breastfeeding apparel. One of my favorite nursing tops is the v-neck tee from Momzelle. Though a bit more expensive than a regular V-neck top, I'm loving the fit and function of this tee. The cut is perfect for me, a little longer, sleek shape, and wider at the bottom with a cute Momzelle logo on the back. The length of the V is perfect for the neckline, is very comfortable with the cotton and spandex, for a great look postpartum. The nursing flap is easy to use, all you do is lift and with holes for your breast there is no need to fumble around with such easy access. The flap does tend to stretch out a bit after wearing all day with the constant lifting for nursing, but after several wears and washes my shirt has always gone back to it's original sleek look. I've been able to nurse discreetly in this shirt because I still have material above and below.. everyone always tells me they didn't even know I was wearing a nursing top! This Momzelle V-neck tee is available in many different colors if looking for a specific colored top!

Momzelle carries many other nursing tops to take a look at as well as a few other products. I love the video on the main shopping page of how to use the Momzelle tee, mentioned in the review above. I love seeing photo's of mothers using a fantastic top for nursing and breastfeeding with ease and comfort. There's an entire page dedicated to Momzelle Photo's. Also for more information on breastfeeding, and Momzelle you can view their Blog.

Vincent Shoes {Review}

It's not often I get to give much thought to style for my oldest sons shoes. He's been wearing an XXW since he started in shoes once he started walking over four years ago. However with the great customer assistance I was able to get a great pair of stylish shoes from Vincent shoes for my son! This is the first time he had more than two choices to choose from and they weren't screamin' dork. My son now is wearing XW and though you are able to find them a bit easier than an XXW it's still very hard and they have to be big XW or they hurt his feet. He's has been wearing the Vadim shoes from Vincent Shoes for awhile now and they have been working great. The fit is excellent, the look is fashionable and cute, and they're easy enough for him to get on and off on his own; which is a huge time saver for a busy mommy. This sporty sneaker is make mostly of leather with a big bump toe for rough and tumble play, easy to put on Velcro closure and available for boys and girls depending on the color. Vincent Shoes also has a shoe size chart that's very easy to use and accurate, however if you are looking for shoes and your child has bigger feet than normal I recommend checking out what Vincent Shoes has to offer, contact the customer service and have them find a shoe that really will work. You can't go wrong with the huge selection for all your children!

Marshmallow Shooter {Giveaway Has Ended}

Lets encourage a food fight... how about a marshmallow fight? My sons eyes about bugged out of his head when I said we were going to have some fun with marshmallows and I brought out a marshmallow, camo blaster with marshmallows to shoot at each other. These marshmallows will shoot up to 30 feet and don't hurt when you get hit, shoot up to 25 continuous marshmallows at a time, great for two people one with each to have a lot of fun with. We only have one blaster and my son loves to set up a target to blast the marshmallows at. Lots of fun playing an eating. You do have to have some muscle power to pump the marshmallows out, so this particular marshmallow shooter should be for children older than four. It's very easy to load and unload, dishwasher safe and easy to clean and care for. Unlike a lot of toys like this it's easy to keep marshmallows stocked for play and while playing, they're fully stocked with a yummy snack as well.

Marshmallowville has lots of different kinds of shooter, blasters, and bows to purchase for all kinds of fun and in different styles. These award winning shooters have even been seen on Hannah Montana, Rachael Ray, Good Morning America, The Jay Leno Show, and The Ellen Degeneres Show. To purchase one of these fun products (what a great Christmas gift) visit www.marshmallowville.com, or online at Hammacher Schlemmer, Toys R Us, Drugstore.com, and on Amazon.com. Happy Shopping and have fun!

I Can Do That! Games {Giveaway Has Ended}

We play games every single day in our home, a bit more than my liking by the kids love games! Since we play so often I like to have games around that are not only fun but games that teach lessons, build skills and that are educational. My son received the Curious George Discovery Beach game and we quickly discovered that we were going to love the I Can Do That! Games and would love to build a collection. The game was extremely fun for my husband and I, won an iParenting Media Award as well as other awards, and was a true adventure every time for my son. Since then we have received the Richard Scarry Busytown Eye found it! Game and the Dr. Seuss Super Stretchy ABCs Game. Both equally as fun and educational. The Eye Found It! Game promotes working together to as a team, building confidence when finding the objects all to reach the picnic basket together. The Super Stretchy ABC's Game reminds me a lot of twister, get those kids moving around while learning their ABC's, letter and picture recognition, beginner world building all while having fun. All three games are geared for children 3 and up an unlike a lot of games for children of that age everyone can have a great time playing! These are regular games for us to play, we never get bored with them.

Many of my readers know I've been preparing to throw my sister a fabulous diaper shower! It's her first and I want it to be extra special and unique. The selection is fantastic and you are for sure going to find a cake to match your theme, or special enough for that fun exciting day to celebrate baby and mommy.

BabyBox - Ear Flap Hat {Giveaway Has Ended}

Fall is here, but it's been feeling more like winter to me lately. Time to bundle up and make sure my kids have their hats and mittens on. I always seem to have a challenge when it comes to my real little ones and hats, they never want to stay on. I may have found a solution to this problem with our new little guy. An adorable personalized, solid ear flap hat from BabyBox.com. I love that you get to pick the name you want on the hat, in the spelling you want (hard when your child has a unique name and you only have a list of names to pick from,) color of the hat, and the name color. Great to be able to pick a color that matches your child's snow suit or coat. I like the strings, they aren't super thick to make it hard to tie under a fat little child's chin. At first I was a bit concerned with this hat because it seemed very large for an infant, however with customer services help I was ensured that the had would shrink down and fit a range from newborn to 6 months. It's a tad bit big on my eight week old, but once we have to wear it consistently it will be perfect. This specific hat is 100% cotton, is easily washed and dried and available in three sizes to fit nearly all children.

BabyBox.com has many kinds of cute personalized items and tons of products to choose from. Decor, clothing, accessories, bedding, toys, books, for the nursery and more. I'm sure you can easily find many products you'd like to add to your wish list.

Win! One Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win a solid ear flap hat. To Enter-

Scary Spiders from California Raisins {Giveaway Has Ended}

Halloween is just around the corner, planning anything extra fun and special? We always dress up and hand out candy, but this year we're planning a little family party which should be lots of fun! I was excited to get the opportunity to work with the California Raisin company and try out the fun Halloween recipe for Spooky Raisin Spiders. I actually made these Saturday night to take to my dad's big birthday bash, he hates spiders so since he turned 50, I thought it would be perfect to bring some spiders along. Ha ha!

The recipe is super easy to follow and doesn't take nearly as long as some creative food type of decorations you make. I easily made them, substituting the Almond Butter for peanut butter and I think they turned out pretty close to the pictures (unlike a lot of recipes.. I make!) Most everyone agreed they were pretty good tasting, absolutely loved the look of them and that you could hardly taste the raisins in them. The only thing I thought was that the legs would be easier to put on for my son (4) I pretty much had to do that entire part because they were curly. One of my doubts was that the legs would actually stay in place once dried, but if I got them in chocolate they did. They're very cute and festive!

If you're looking to make something special for Halloween, especially for kids this is a great recipe to follow! Raisins are naturally fat and cholesterol free, great to add to a treat during a junk filled holiday.
Spooky Raisin Spider Recipe:

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup California raisins
  • 1/3 cup almond butter*
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1-3/4 cups crispy brown rice cereal
  • 1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 96 tiny thin black licorice strips
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 24 small candies or frosting; for eyes

PROCEDURE

Measure raisins, almond butter, honey, and cocoa powder into food processor bowl with metal blade and process until smooth. Transfer to large bowl and stir in cereal by hand to mix completely. Divide and shape into 12 balls; arrange on foil or wax paper-lined baking sheet. Press down to flatten bottoms; turn and spread small amount of melted chocolate on each bottom and attach 8 small licorice pieces to form legs; chill until firm. Stir few drops of water into powdered sugar and glue on candies or make eyes for spiders.

Baby Shower Diapers {Giveaway Has Ended}

Do you ever come across a site/product and instantly you just know you love what you see? I can't really explain how excited I was to get the chance to work with Baby Shower Diapers and the absolute adorable products they have to offer. Maybe it's because my family uses cloth diapers, but the little diaper favors are one of the cutest things I've ever laid eyes on when it comes to Baby Shower Items.

These adorable Mini-Diaper Shower Favor's are made of 100% flannelette and measure 2" by 2". Come a variety of different colors and prints, like gingham blue, lavender and pink, polka dots, plain colors and more coming this week. All folded nicely like a diaper with a cute little safety pin in the front (also available win a safety pin in the back for game usage.) These are great for decorations, and filled with yummy's for adorably unique favors for your guests. We plan on using these at my sisters baby shower and playing the dirty diaper game. Each guest will receive a diaper pinned on their shirt when arriving, whoever has the "dirty" (with a little spot of choc/poo) diaper will be the winner. These will also be perfect for guess the poo game. Unlike the original game of using a real disposable diaper (a little too "real" and gross for me) we will be using these, making the game more enjoyable and adorable. I can't express how cute these are, and seriously the pictures do not do them justice!

Also find the cute Baby Shower Booties to purchase. Very cute as unique favors. All these products are at an excellent price in my opinion and you will be sure to have a shower that's set apart from others with these adorable favors!

Buy! Nicole the owner of Baby Shower Diapers is so sweet and excellent to work with. Her products are great quality. She would like to offer any Momma In Flip Flops2 readers Free Priority Shipping, a $6.00 value. Just enter coupon code freeship. Expires 12/19/09.

Baby Half Off - Baby K'Tan {Giveaway Has Ended}

The Baby K'Tan carrier is another carrier/sling that is worth taking a look at when it comes to purchasing a carrier for you and your child's needs. The Baby K'Tan is unique in that it's like a sling, with the structure of an actual carrier when wearing and distributes the weight of your baby over both of your shoulder to decrease neck and back pain while wearing. It's like a double sling! The Baby K'Tan will hold your baby close and secure while letting you use your arms to preform other tasks that need to be done around your home. Something that I have found is essential with two toddlers and a newborn. I wasn't exactly sure how this is different than a wrap when I first took a look at the Baby K'Tan. However it's all in one, connected together so there is no long material dragging on the ground and waiting to be looped around you. It has a sliding support band in the middle for adjusting for adequate support. You can also wear your baby in eight different positions and nurse discreetly while still wearing your child. Tested and wearable for premature babies, to toddlers up to 42 pounds. Available in many different prints and colors.

I was easily able to get the Baby K'Tan on and off and adjust properly, but being short, I was un able to give the medium a proper review because it did not fit correctly. You can read more about the Baby K'Tan on their website.

Buy It! Also read more about it from Skye from Baby Half Off's Blog, this is one of her favorites! If you don't know about Baby Half Off, they have a different featured item that is sold daily (when they're gone, they're gone) and the items are discounted drastically. Today ONLY they are selling the Pink Baby K'Tan for only $25.00. That's 57% off the original price. WOW! While Supplies Last!

Win! The lovely ladies at Baby Half Off is giving one Momma In Flip Flops2 a Pink Baby K'Tan in your choice of size. To Enter -

Gypsy Soule {Giveaway Has Ended}

Gypsy Soule is a unique website that carries in custom designed, handmade to order items that are different than anything you're going to find around. All the items have a trendy, sexy cowgirl look almost, yet if you aren't going for that look they look, the products look great as well.

I received a very fashionable pair of flip flops that I absolutely love. Covered in sassy jewels they sparkle while I wear them and stand out with some serious bling appeal. What is there not to love about a pair of flip flops that are comfortable, but look outstanding? There are also some stand out, blingtastic boots to wear for winter. I love these kind of boots, especially when you cannot wear heels (which is quite often in these slick ice covered winters we have in the midwest) these would look great.

I liked the cute long sleeved, Unleash Your Soule, V-neck shirt. The fit was great and I love to pair it with a cute pair of jeans for a casual look. There are many other clothing items at Gypsy Soule and some really cute jewelry that will really catch your eye. I really like the large multi seed bead necklace; large, chunky and colorful! Check out the site and find what you love.

Win! One Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win a $50 gift certificate to spend on whatever they love at Gypsy Soule. To Enter-
