I take a lot of photo's of my kids and I try to make photo books out of them yearly but like many things it takes a lot of time. I was recently introduced to a site called Lulu where you can make custom photo books among many other things. I was easily able to custom make a first year photo book for my youngest son in no time with the all the options Lulu has. First I decided whether I wanted a hard cover or paperback book (I chose the hardcover, they hold up better in my household). Once you get started you choose the theme you want for your book - many to choose from depending on what type of book you're wanting to make. Then start uploading the photo's you are going to want to use and I liked that I had the option of uploading from flickr, photobucket, facebook and others as well as my own computer. I found the photo's I wanted to use, titled my book even with a picture, added the pictures I wanted throughout the book - some upright, some on the side, several on a page to only one and even the option of captions. Just click through how you want your photo's arranged and I liked that you even have the option of changing what the page looks like beyond the photo layout. I made a very cute 1st year photo book in the antique theme and was very happy with the end product. For once I can upload my photo's and have them actually in a book, not upload, pick up the pictures and insert them all for them to just get torn out after the pages being turned so many times. Photo books like this are great for the holidays or just to keep your memories together nicely!
