Home Sweet Home Activity Book - Review

I received the Home Sweet Home Activity Book to review. This is a Tiny Love, soft developmental toy that is geared for children 9 months and older.

My youngest is 6 months and not yet able to play with this toy because he cannot sit up, however he does enjoy sitting on my lap and watching his 2.5 year old sister and 4.5 year old brother have fun. And of course listening to mommy tell a story and flipping the pages. This toy/book is a soft surfaced book that opens into a circle type mat for play that has 3D pop-outs and family scenes of the home. I think it's neat that the 3D objects come out from where they are placed (cat in a basket, rubber ducky in the bath, teddy bear in the bed, & towels hanging) and they are all connected so they can be removed but still stay attached to the toy. Everything always stays put together. The mirror is a cute feature because we all know that children/babies love to see themselves - though small it's still fun and really gives the impression of going into each room of the house to find activities. I really like toys that help develop imagination and this toy definitely does that. Though geared for 9month plus, I'm glad to see my other children enjoying it as well.

Lollidoo One Size Eco-Pocket Cloth Diaper - {Giveaway Has Ended}

I am always on the look out for cloth diapers that are made a little differently, something that stands out in a variety of ways.

The LolliDoo eco-pockets are just that and more. They are made in the USA with a very soft and breathable fleece outer layer and soft organic cotton inner layer. Stainless steel metal clasps which are new to me, work well and keep the diaper on securely. This diaper features the cinch sizing elastic in the legs, which is accessible through the pocket opening in the back. This allows you to customize the diaper to fit your infant all the way up through the potty training years. I have tried a few different types of diapers with this cinch elastic and this with the channel buttonhole isn't quite as user friendly as some - however once you get the fit you do not have to re-adjust often. What's also really great about this diaper is that it's made from recycled materials & can be recycled when completely finished with it - not many diapers are this eco-friendly!

I've been using the overnight, Lollidoo eco-pocket on my 6 month old 21 pound son. The diaper fits but not as well as some of the one-sized diapers I have tried. I believe it's because he's so chunky. I tried the diaper on my 2.5 year old 24 pound daughter and the fit was much better, she is slender with no rolls. The diaper has been great for days, when my son requires a diaper change more often. No leaking and great for the breath ability. He is somewhat of a heavy wetter and the diaper did not work that well for us at night.

This diaper is available in the classic version and overnight with different color options available! I also have to say that the customer service is excellent with the Lollidoo diapers. I had questions and they were great at responding and helping me with everything. Outstanding!

I loved them for my kids, but I really love them now I have a pair for myself! You may remember my review on the SmartKnitKIDS socks for my toddlers. Since then I had the opportunity to try them out for myself and they are by far my most favorite socks ever, I love them so much I actually took my husbands. Academy J Bands - Review

After I had baby B I decided I had enough of my short hair - though I was still loving it, it was time for a change after 1.5 years of that look. I'm growing my hair out, which luckily I have fast growing hair so it doesn't take as long as it does for some. With that being said I'm able to do a lot more with my hair - different looks, different styles and what better than hair accessories to help jazz up an outfit. I came across Academy J Handcrafted Headbands and fell in love with what they had to offer. I received the fabulous Lucille, black rose beaded headband on black elastic which I absolutely love. One of the top sellers and not only do I love this - I have received numerous compliments from others and where did I get it. It fits great, dresses up an outfit and stands out great. I love to braid part of my hair starting at the top, and pull it back into a pony tail and then accenting with the headband. Great for a casual everyday with the kids look. Then just wearing the headband with my hair down long gives you a fantastic night look also. There are many different headbands to choose from - crocheted or embellished and something different for everyone. These aren't just for a certain age and that is something that I love - great for all those wanting to look fabulous and chic. If you aren't into headbands as much, check out the embellished clips, I received the Sparrow and can't wait to pair it with a fancy dress for a special occasion.

Souplantation / Sweet Tomatoes Restuarant {Giveaway Has Ended}

Did you know that February is National Potato Lovers' Month? Who doesn't love potatoes, my favorites are definitely mashed, bring on the goodness. Low in calories, fat and cholesterol free and packed with potassium who doesn't love something nutricious and absolutely delicious.

What does this all mean to those of you living near Souplantation / Sweet Tomatoes restaurants? It means that they're celebrating National Potato Lovers' Month with some yummy items added to the menu, like - Roasted Potato Foccacia, Cream of Rosemary Potato Soup, Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes with Bacon, Sweet Potato Corn Chowder & Bistro Potato Salad. My mouth is totally watering! Also the restaurant is giving out the recipe for a guest favorite, Golden Yam Bisque from February 15 - 28th.

LuShae Jewelry Review

I'm feeling quite dazzled after having the opportunity to review for LuShae Jewelry, a privately owned jewelry company since 1999. I received the beautiful Contemporary Circle Pendant for review and let me say the pictures on the site don't show you nearly how lovely the jewelry actually is. The necklace is stunning on and very chic and contemporary. I really like that you can adjust for three different lengths depending on the scoop of your shirt. Sometimes I want it lower, sometimes higher. This particular piece of jewelry can easily be worn to dress up an outfit or for an everyday casual look. I liked it a lot because of the uniqueness of the circular pendant. Lots of circle pendants are being worn nowadays but with the wire design inside, it really stands out.

Smelly Towel Cleaner {Giveaway Has Ended}

My husband recently completely stripped and sanded our hardwood floors upstairs. With him doing that he had to stain with the strong smelling polyurethane. Some how one of the rags he was using got thrown in with a towel load of laundry and everything smelled of polyurethane. I kept washing the towels over an dover and nothing would work, when they got wet the smell was even worse. Then I remembered I had the smelly towel cleaner to try and it really worked. The towels came out clean and smelled fresh. "Smelly towel cleaner is used to remove mold & mildew odor and freshen your towels naturally without using fabric softener." I have never had a problem with that issue, but if it would help with the polyurethane I would think it would do wonders on other issues. Along while back Teri & I had the chance to review SmellyWasher. Since then I have let others try it and am really glad I have it on hand. My mother in law and I have found another fantastic use for the product. Do you ever have odor smell backing up in your pipes only to make your sinks smell awful? We live by a river and unfortunately have this issue from time to time (smells like dead fish.) My mother in law also has the issue just from water backing up living out in the country. If you dump just a little bit of SmellyWasher down your sink pipes with hot water - the smell is gone. It lasts for months too. Just another great reason to purchase.
