I'm very excited to be participating in the first ever
Eco Chic Parties Blog Party with sponsor Diapers Etc. For those of you who aren't familiar with Diapers Etc. or have been in the past the site is now new, improved and better than ever with the new owner Debbie. Several great cloth diaper brands and many other products to purchase whether you're looking for different types of cloth diapers, covers, accessories, BPA Free products, Organic clothing and more.
Diapers Etc. is a great site to view all sorts of products and purchase them all in one place.
I have been cloth diapering for over 3 years now - I started cloth diapering because my daughter w

as allergic to disposable diapers and would break out every time one touched her skin. We switched to cloth and haven't turned back since. I can't deny that I am not a 24/7 cloth diapering momma but for the most part cloth diapers are used all the time. Currently I only have my 18 month old son in cloth diapers as the others are potty trained. He's a 28 pound little guy so it can be challenging to find what works - however whether you have a skinny child (like my daughter) or a chunker (like my son) there are cloth diapers available that work great. I'm a huge fan of pocket diapers and I prefer snaps over Aplix or Velcro (mostly because I find they last a lot longer). I use
prefolds as stuffing my diapers, not that I don't like the inserts that come with most diapers, but I think prefolds tend to hold more, don't build up and I never have to deal with the stink. I do use inserts on occasion (always when reviewing) but I mostly stick to the prefolds because they work great for us. Some of the diapers I use during the day that are available on the Diapers Etc. website are the
Fuzzi Bunz perfect size diaper,
Fuzzi Bunz one size diaper, and
Happy Heiny's Pocket Diaper. All great, especially the new Fuzzi Bunz one-sized diaper that I was able to review from Diapers Et

c. I love that it comes with extra elastic for the legs and that you can adjust perfectly for your child's fit. The elastic is actually numbered so one leg isn't tighter than the other, and you can adjust from both the front and the back of the diaper. You can also easily tuck the extra elastic into the slots and they stay put even after laundering the diaper. This is by far one of my favorite features of this diaper. At night I use the
Duo Fab Fitted and
Fab Fitted from Thristies along with their wonderful
duo wrap mostly and they too are available at Diapers Etc. These are just a few of the choices that my family uses and that Diapers Etc. has - I like these that I have mentioned a lot and use them frequently. I also only use cloth wipes -

many different types and brands, but one that is available at Diapers Etc. that have really held up and work great are the
Thirsties Fab Wipes. Beautiful colors, the perfect size and soft on babies bottom. If you are just getting started with cloth diapers, I would recommend a great wet bag - and definitely a zippered one. The zipper holds in the smell and is the only thing I have used since we started, I have never tried the
Monkey Foot wet bags but I see they have a zipper and look great with different sized options. So many different options and it's always fun to try different types es

pecially to see what works best for you. I have found that everyone has something different that their family loves. My husband always grabs the Aplix no matter what, but over all we are both so happy to be using cloth!
There is so much more to say about cloth diapering - what diapers I liked a lot for my newborn, what I use to clean, etc. However we will leave that for another party. For now you can get started with all sorts of fabulous diapers from Diapers Etc. and if you're an experienced cloth diapering momma then I'm sure you'll find something you'd love to try at Diapers Etc. If you're reading and not into cloth diapering Diapers Etc. has a lot of great products for your little one.
