The True Story of Puss 'N Boots DVD

I like having the opportunity to check out DVD's for my kids, after all I do like something that will entertain them for awhile without constant mommy attention. Recently we were asked to review The True Story of Puss 'N Boots from Phase 4 Films, a movie I thought my kids would love and since it had a G rating (something you don't see a whole lot of these days), we wanted to give it a try.

The movie is based on the original story of Puss 'N Boots with the famous William Shatner's voice. The movie kept the attention of my six year old son fairly well, but as far as the younger two not so much. I was disappointed in the overall graphics of the movie and for being a rated G film I didn't find all characters appropriate and a bit scary for younger children because it was so dark. I did like that it's about accomplishing your dreams no matter who you are though.

You can view more about The True Story of Puss 'N Boots and follow them on facebook. This DVD is available at Wal-Mart & Family Video.

I received free product of this DVD to facilitate this review, all opinions are my own.

Happy Halloween!

Just want to say Happy Halloween from my family to yours! What is your family going as? We had a party Saturday - my husband and I were bank robbers, my son Darth Vadar, daughter a Princess (this was her third costume/dress up so far) and youngest son a little lion. Have a safe and fun holiday.

Sally Hansen Beauty Tools Giveaway (Ends 11/14)

Who doesn't want their eyes to look glamorous and no I'm talking before you even get to the whole make up routine. You know, just great looking eyes, the perfect groomed and tweezed brows and those killer curl lashes that make anyone wonder.. how did she get those!?? With a few great beauty tools from Sally Hansen you can achieve those eyes all on your own.

Whether you go to the salon to get your brows done or you're like me and get that look on your own at home, every girl needs a great pair of tweezers (and if you're like me.. you need two of different tips). Recently I added the Mighty mini tweezer to my beauty tools and I like this tweezer. It gets in-between and above the brow great and takes more hair. I like the small but great grip it has and the slant is perfect. I love to add this to my pointed tweezers for the perfect look. Tweezing can be such a pair for some woman, but just like grooming your arm pits, legs and bikini area tweezing is a must (hey who's born with perfect eyebrows?). Carmindy, co-creator of Sally Hansen natural beauty and author of Crazy Busy Beautiful gives this tip two tips to help get that perfect look. "If your brows grow straight down, use a curved pair of cuticle scissors and snip them from underneath into perfect shape" and "To ease your tweezing, pull the skin taut, grab the hairs at the base as close to the skin as you can get, and gently pull."

Another must have beauty tool is a good eye lash curler.. and let me just say that you need to find one that works for you. Typically I have a heck of a hard time finding one because they are way bigger than my eye.. ahh.. no fit, no curl. I'm pretty sure I found my favorite eye lash curler (as I've never really been happy with any I've tried so far).. and it's the Sally Hansen, Sexy Curls precision eye lash curler. The grip is fantastic, fits my eye perfect and doesn't pinch my skin. It's great! Need a tip for curling your eye lashes from Carmindy.. check this one out - " For extra curling oomph, lightly run a warm hair dryer for about thirty seconds before crimping your lashes.  Touch it with a clean finger before proceeding.  You want it warm, not scalding. Protect that delicate skin!”- Yes that tips works like a charm.

You can check out other products my Sally Hansen, there's tons to check out.

WIN! One Momma in Flip Flops2 reader will win the same Sexy Eye Lash Curler and Mighty mini tweezers I received. Enter through Rafflecopter below.

No More Aching Feet with Kendall GelThotics :: Giveaway (Ends 11/11)

Have you ever noticed how aching feet can lead to pain in your neck, back or knees? As someone with flatter feet than the average girl I feel like my feet are constantly killing me! Just the other day I was at one of the big hardware stores with my hubby (think concrete floor) and I literally had to sit and rest because my feet hurt so bad! Pretty pathetic, I know. GelThotics is a great new product I was able to review that can really help with any foot related pain. What was different about this product from other orthotic products I've tried is that it feels gel-like and doesn't change the fit of your shoe. I really loved this product because it stayed in place in all kinds of shoes, which was awesome! Boots, Tennis Shoes, and even High-Heels (which is when you really need that extra cushion, right!?) They were really comfortable and it didn't even feel like I had anything in my shoe! It is really amazing how a little cushion in your shoe can make such a difference in how you feel, especially if you are on your feet for hours during the day. Foot pain really puts me in a bad mood, so If you are getting crabby because of your foot-related pain you need to check out GelThotics and get your tootsies feeling happy again! Do you need these products, use coupon code "twitter" for 25% off your order.

Win! One Momma in Flip Flops2 reader will win Kendall GelThotics (a $59.99 value). Enter through rafflecopter below.

Cloth Diaper Week ::Tiny Tush Fitted Diaper & Cover Giveaway (Ends 11/8)

I am very excited to be taking part of the cloth diaper week with the girls of Simple reviews and featuring Tiny Tush on Momma In Flip Flops2 - one of my absolute favorite cloth diaper brands for my youngest son. I'm a huge fan of the Tiny Tush Elite diaper, it is definitely the best fitting diaper I own for my son and I own a few and they all look like new after several months of use. You can check out two of my past reviews for Tiny Tush Elite Pocket Diaper and the limited edition prints if you missed them in the past.

My most recent diaper from Tiny Tush is the one sized cloth diaper tiny tush trim 4.0. We received the snap hemp organic cotton diaper that has been working like a charm for bedtime. I like it for bedtime because it's a bit more bulky than the other diapers and it works well. This diaper is SO soft, adjusts perfectly to get the correct setting and I love the different colored trim available. What I also like about this diaper is that it has a snap in liner which can be used for a newborn inside a cover, so this diaper is very versatile. Add the one size diaper covers from Tiny Tush and you have got it made. The covers fit perfectly over not only just the trim, but for laying inserts in or other fitted diapers you have. Easily adjustable with the buttons up the rise & is available in many vibrant colors.

I have been using this diaper on my 26 month old son who weighs about 28 lbs. We have the rise setting on the largest and the fit is excellent. Can't go wrong with any of the Tiny Tush products in my opinion, exactly what you want when it comes to soft diapers that will keep your baby dry and looking cute.

WIN! One lucky Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win the Tiny Tush Trim & Diaper Cover (color of your choice). Enter through rafflecopter below.

Nike, Jordan & Levi Children's Apparel Giveaway (Ends 11/05)

Being that I'm a momma that loves fashion for myself I'm sure you can bet that I love fashion for my kids as well. It's even more important that the products I purchase that I really love for them are of good quality and can be passed down to the others in line. You will definitely find quality products when it comes to Nike, Jordan & Levi and I can tell you for one that has owned products from these companies for years and years (even when I was a child), they hold up and look good. Haddad Brands is the company that owns the licensing for these brands and I'm thankful to them for giving me the opportunity to partner with them and share with you my experience with these fabulous products.

Nike as many of you know is a very known brand and it should be - carrying products for the entire family. I always think of athletics when it comes to Nike but they're more than just that. The apparel has fashion sense, while being comfortable and function able. I love that my kids can look great while being comfortable and not completely dressed up each day. My boys live in Nike sweats, wind pants, t-shirts and even long sleeved shirts. My daughter is quite the picky girl when it comes to apparel (and mostly lives in dresses) but she loves the leggings Nike offers with the adorable sweat shirt dresses and loves the cute girlie apparel that Nike offers. She has her favorites that's for sure and momma loves it all!

You may remember me talking about Levi's company in the past. I LOVE Levi - the products are of exceptional quality and the jeans for boys - they hold up amazingly (and we all know how rough boys are on jeans.) and the different fits, styles and cuts for both boys and girls are great. These are my top jeans for boys no doubt. My daughter doesn't normally wear jeans, they never seem to fit her quite right but after this opportunity to review this was our first chance to try Levi Jeans and wow.. we found jeggings and jeans that fit her perfectly and look great too.  Levi is fashion forward as well - the shirts are all so trendy and are adorable on and off the hanger. You can't go wrong with anything from Levi. You can see the confidence and love my kids show when wearing in the photo's.

Jordan I'm newer to when it comes to these products and so far have been very pleased. Quality is there and my boys really like the products, especially since  it's all about basketball and they are quite the sports boys! Jordan carries performance gear with luxury - great products for the basketball lovers in your life.

These products are carried in many different stores and great for the family. Look stylish, while being comfortable in classic, trendy favorites from some of the best known names in the world! Happy shopping.

WIN! One very lucky Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win a backpack full of Nike, Jordan & Levi Co. Apparel. (Products are only available in the follow sizes - Nike, infant to size 7. Jordan 0-20 boys and tees for girls & infants. Levi - girls (0-16) Boys (0-7 bottoms & tops) Boys (8-20 tops). Winner will get to choose size and gender only. Enter through Rafflecopter below. **No comments need to be left on this post**

Fall Fashion: Livie & Luca Cowgirl Boots

If you've been a fan of Momma In Flip Flops2 for long you know I love a good shoe company - Livie & Luca is on the top of my list when it comes to adorable shoes for my children. When it came time to look at fall shoes for my daughter you can guess her and I fell in love with the new little cowgirl boots Livie & Luca had to offer. All my kids love boots but don't like the weight of them. This is the perfect alternative to heavy boots because like all Livie & Luca shoes, they only weight 1/2 a pound so they're comfortable, light and still have that adorable look to them. The sole is very flexible and the zipper back helps for easy on and off. I have found too that Livie & Luca fit a little bit wider of a foot so no worries that they won't fit. I let my daughter choose which pair of boots she would like from the different colors offered and she chose the red ones. They are even cuter in person than shown & I'd love to get her the other colors as well. Check out Livie & Luca for your boys and girls ranging in size from 4-13. You'll love the new fall line. Shop this month (October) and 10% off the proceeds go to breast cancer research. Check out what Ellen of Thrifty & Chic Mom had to say about Livie & Luca. Fall Fashion: Boots & Flats from Born Shoes

I dread the cool weather of the changing seasons, I really can think of few reasons why I commit myself hear yet another year to endure the cold. One thing I know though when it comes to the cooler temperatures is the fabulous fall and winter clothes that I can layer and build upon and one must not forget the shoes that really help put the entire ensemble together. A fabulous modern and stylish company to check out is Born Shoes, you may know a lot of about them or heard of them here in the past during our spring shoe event. I fell in love with the sandals and now I can't get enough of the boots & a must in any ones wardrobe flats.

I received the Germaine boot in what they call grey. I love this color because it's not a "oh my goodness grey" but a subtle color and looks great wearing with black or brown apparel. This boot is the perfect height, super comfortable, has a sleek look to it but also features the buckles which give it some pizazz. I also like that it's a bid calf boot, perfect if you're not super tall. I do realize this boot is a bit pricey but if you're going to go with one boot then this might as well be it - the comfort of a flat with the sexy appeal with a heel. You'll love it. I have worn it over jeans, under jeans, with dresses and leggings and it looks great every time.

Flats as I said are a must have in a wardrobe. I love a heel but there are days even when I'm getting dressed up that a heel is just not going to work. A pair of comfortable flats are the perfect solution - you look put together unlike many other alternatives when it comes to not wanting to wear heels. I have the Stowaway in the Black/Silver. Once again great pair of shoes when it comes to comfort and goes with most anything. I wear them to dress up or just around because they're so versatile.

Born Shoes carries a great selection of shoes for woman, men & even the children. Take a look and connect with Born on facebook & twitter for updates and promotions you won't want to miss. Check out what Ellen of Thrifty & Chic Mom had to say about Born.

Also since it has the double wall your hands aren't freezing off or burning off and you don't need oven mits (Ha)! Mimuno products also carry Pilsner along with the mug and tumbler that my husband finds fascinating - I may have to get him one. Ragu Mom's The Word Dinner Party :: $150 AmEx Gift Card Giveaway (Ends 11/01)

**FANS... I apologize for the confusion. You only need to enter through Rafflecopter for this giveaway, no comments. To enter, click on the mandatory entry, leave your name & email and answer the question "What's your biggest challenge at dinner" in the Extra info Box. Sorry for the confusion. **

As many of you noticed the conversations keep going with Ragu and Mom's the Word on Dinner, if you've missed it you can join the many conversations at www.facebook.com/ragu - I've learned some great tips and tricks by following and participating.

One of the perks at getting to be a Mom's The Word, Ragu Brand Ambassador is hosting a fabulous Ragu party for some fabulous ladies. I'm always having dinner conversations with my friends so I thought I'd have a mom's night out, hosted by me and sponosored by Ragu for some of the ladies I know. It's hard work coming up with the menu plan, making it and a lot of time cleaning up as well. It's just part of our daily life and routine, but it's always nice to have a little break.

I invited the ladies and we enjoyed wonderful conversation over Ragu's Sauteed Onion & Mushroom pasta sauce over thick spaghetti noodles with vegies, salads and of course desert. The topic of the evening... "What's Your Biggest Challenge when it Comes to Dinners?". The Biggest challenge was definitely coming up with what to make - whether it be with the ingredients on hand, menu planning or just what to make that's healthy. A mother of twelve commented that it's so hard to find something everyone will like and being a mom with so many and on the go, finding meals that aren't fattening and quick can be a challenge. One of my girls totally had me cracking up when she just bluntly admitted to us all.. "I like to eat out, no clean up and it's all right there on the menu." We all shared idea's on how to cook differently and how we come up with menu's etc. It s a lot of fun. I want to share with you a few tips we came up with to help with what was the biggest overall challenge of coming up with something. Sharing recipes with friends, starting a group to exchange with, planning ahead (big), making a menu the week in advanced!

When it came to Ragu -- I purposely invited these ladies to this party because all but one are not buyers of Ragu. When they all left with different jars of Ragu to try they were all excited and loved the Sauteed Onion & Mushroom, commenting it was one of the best sauces they've ever had. I won't take all the credit for my mad cooking skills because Ragu really is that good. How did I spice it up to get them loving - 1 lbs of hamburger, Ragu Sauce as mentioned, quarter cup of chopped green pepper, seasoned w/ salt and pepper and fresh garlic. Yum!

Thanks to Ragu all my guests left with a great meal and gift baskets to take home. One guest received a gift basket fully of Ragu goodies and more! Now it's time for you the Momma In Flip Flops2 readers to win something!

WIN! One lucky Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win a $150 AmEx Gift Card. Enter through Rafflecopter below.

The adorable body suits, rompers and oh my goodness I love - hooded blanket. All absolutely adorable, soft and make the most perfect gift for your baby or someone else. I used to think that if it said organic it was all kind of alike, but Baby Keba has some of the softest I've felt and the colors are perfect - calm and fresh - perfect for that new little love. Baby Keba also carries a selection of other eco-friendly products like diapering products - wipes & the Rockin' Green detergent (that I highly reccommend), rattles and more. LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet by LeapFrog

As you may have read in my previous post about LeapFrog, we were a very excited family when we had the opportunity to receive product from LeapFrog to host a fun LeapFrog Party and share with you readers some of the products that are hot on the shelves right now - for a good reason. If you missed the first LeapFrog Post, mostly about the Tag Reading System make sure you take the chance to read.

Now I want to bring to your attention a fabulous product called the LeapPad Explorer, a fantastic Learning Tablet from LeapFrog that is very much like an iPad for kids. This is definitely a product that helps children learn, play and have a good time while sticking with technology and building confidence in children. I love products like this because most any child can use them.  The different applications and games are tailored to your child's age or needs so it's great for all. You can check out the video my son and I made below (I apologize in advance for the "ums" and raspy voice, I've been sick) that shows the LeapPad Explorer in action.

Some things you may or may not have noticed that we didn't show was that the LeapPad has an area for cartridges that you can slide in and play. We received the Leap School Reading and my son has really enjoyed playing the different games and I like that he's learning to spell, build words and it's helping with his reading. A fun game and just like the option of being able to download app's from the computer, you can purchase these cartridges games as well. As mentioned in the video connecting with LeapFrog connect allows you to download and collect prizes the child may get from winning and passing levels in the different games/apps they play. My son is always excited to plug into the computer to add his badges. Something as a parent I really like and other parents liked from our party was that you can add your email and check online to check your child's progress and what they've been doing on LeapPad. I know so many times you can't sit right there as they're playing the entire time, but it's nice to stay connected by knowing what they're doing.

The LeapPad has several fantastic features that really blew the mom's away that have taken a look at it - has 2GB of storage so your child can take tons of pictures and videos with the built in camera and video recorder - it comes with apps already on as well as free app to download and is durable. Ours was passed around to the different kids and my kids have had it all over and it's gonna hold up great. I've also talked to other mom's that have purchased already and they have been extremely happy with the capabilities of this product and how enjoyed it is by the kids. It does take batteries which was the only concern anyone had when we were sharing, but with rechargeable batteries that takes care of that issue immediately.

You can purchase the LeapPad at major retailers nationwide as well as online! Enjoy as in my opinion and some moms from our party.. this is a must add to the Christmas list. Lots of fun while having a learning experience every time. Connect with LeapFrog on facebook and twitter.

I received free product to facilitate this review through Mom Select and LeapFrog. All opinions are my own.

EyeBuyDirect $30 Gift Certificate Giveaway (Ends 10/28)

Though I myself do not wear glasses, several people in my family do and I have really been introduced to a lot of places where you can purchase glasses at affordable rates. Before I started seeing these different eye glasses websites, like EyeBuyDirect I thought you had to do it in person, but why? You can purchase sunglasses, clothing and shoes - why not your eye glasses as well? Just like many other products it's best to shop around and EyeBuyDirect offers you prescription glasses at affordable rates, starting at low as $6.95. There's a variety of frames for men & woman as well as products for different prescription eyeglasses. After browsing the site I liked that you are able to narrow down your search depending on your needs, style wants, etc.. making it easy to find what you need. If you're looking for cheap eyeglasses that still have style then check out EyeBuyDirect.

Win! One Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win a $30 voucher to EyeBuyDirect (excluding designer eyewear or sunglasses).

I received free product to facilitate this review, all opinions are my own.

A LeapFrog Party - Products Worth Having a Party About

I want to thank LeapFrog for sending products for not only a wonderful party for friends and family but also to share with all of my great readers here at Momma In Flip Flops2. Maybe you're very familiar with LeapFrog and own the products, maybe you've heard of them but don't have any products or new to the word LeapFrog in general. If you're any of those you're in for a real treat. LeapFrog has learning products that truly get your children excited to learn. My kids and the kids at our party were having so much fun enjoying learning that the moms were very impressed.

First I want to bring to your attention the LeapFrog Tag Reading System, that goes beyond just the amazing touch technology (which is truly impressive), no wonder it's the #1 selling reading system. The Tag is a pen type product that brings books to life in a huge library from your favorite TV, movie and classic tales. Some of the features I really liked as well as the other moms is that this pen goes with so many different products from Leap Frog, it builds a childs confidence as they can play games, repeat words, read the book, touch the pictures for a surprise and so much more. Just by touching the book or symbols depending on what you want. My four year old caught on very quickly and my six year old begs to read for his quiet time after school. I thought a great feature of the Tag pen was that you can easy connect online to load in prizes and more audio, it can be connected to headphones, and it has volume control. We all loved the books but a true hit at the party was the Tag Interactive World Map, it took the Tag system to an entirely new level of interest. With it being an actual board with a physical and political map (just turn over) the learning is absolutely endless just by clicking, Read about a map, play games, learn about kids like you and so much more! Great for the 4 year old all the way up to kids of 13 years old we found out.

A home schooling mother for 25 years (currently home schooling) said she was "beyond impressed by the Tag system, with it's user friendly options and is going out to purchase one for sure." She also commented that "you can spend fortunes on work books and things, but with this it's interactive, right here in front of you and it's reusable for each and every child." Perfect also because you can buy one thing and the levels can be changed depending on your child's skill. The mom also said "she's more of a frugal buyer and was amazed when she found out that the pricing was competitive and affordable." This is a great product for home schooling families and schooling families alike!

Other moms commented that learning is made so much simpler than it has been in the past, making it fun and engaging for kids, they don't even realize they're learning. I as well as others that do send their kids to school is that your kid is drained from the books they do at school, but this is more like interactive fun but can help them on their studies. One mom "I'm actually excited for my daughter to play a fun game, and I don't feel guilty when she plays for long period of times like I do with many other interactive products - she's reading or at least being introduced to it."

Overall as you can see the Tag Reading System is and will continue to be a huge hit. Look forward to hearing more about LeapFrog and the other fun products we had during our Leap Frog Party!

I received free product from Leap Frog through Mom Select for this party, all opinions are my own.

Ragu: Do You Take Your Kids Grocery Shopping?

Woah, okay this seems to be an ever changing story for me - do I dare take the kids with me grocery shopping or do I leave them home!?? First off I have three children six, four and two.. my oldest is now in kindergarten and has been since August. Our grocery shopping routine has changed completely since he started. Before my husband and I with all three kids would go after he got off work, after dinner. IT WAS INSANITY I tell you, insanity! We were crabby, yelling, the kids hated it, it was not pretty at all. I'd try to go alone but by then I was so exhausted from the day I didn't even want to do that. Now that my oldest is in school... *drum roll*...  I have actually have been taking the two youngest with me in the early morning hours and it's been fantastic! They help me, we talk about what we're getting and honestly it goes well. ONLY because it's early in the morning, we wait until later I'd rather pull my hair out. If I do wait until later I will take the six year old but the other two stay home with husband. No more family grocery outings for us as of right now at this time in our life! Appalachian Outdoors - Smartwool Women's Socks

Right up front here I will say I am not the biggest fan of socks, my feet sweat and I end up changing them several times a day. When the opportunity to check out Appalachian Outdoors and a pair of Smartwool PhD Outdoor Light Crew socks for women I thought.. hey why not! After all it's starting to get cold here and the need to wear socks is among us, especially for a cold girl like myself. Immediately when I received the socks it was the perfect weather to try them out, but the idea of putting Smartwool on my feet didn't exactly get me all excited until I actually put them on. They felt great, no itching and fit me like a glove. I continued to wear them thinking that in a couple of hours I would have to change (like usual) but no need, they wicked away the moisture (didn't smell) and left me feeling dry and not against socks after all. These were definitely high performance socks for sure. I couldn't be more happy and look forward to wearing these all winter long. Connect with Appalachian on twitter & facebook.

I received free product from Appalachian outdoors to facilitate this review, all opinion are my own.

Sibu Beauty Facial Cleanser Giveaway (Ends 10/22)

Trying different beauty products seems to be a thing for me lately - with the changing season so doesn't my desire to check out something for my skin since my skin always changes in the seasons. Sibu beauty asked me to check out the all natural balancing facial cleanser and though I loved my current routine I thought it couldn't come in a better time as my skin is a bit dry and I've been dealing with a little breakout here and there (more than any girl wants to have.) So far I have been happy with this product and my favorite features is that is has micro-particles for exfoliation that give you a very gentle feel but you know it's doing it's job and it removes my make up without having to do a super scrub. I also like that since this is natural it gives you a cleanse without removing the natural purities that your body needs, just leaves you looking and feeling radiant. Sibu Beauty carries many other natural products for you to check out. Enjoy!

Win! One Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win the Sibu Beauty Facial Cleanser.

Blok Squad Fire Patrol Rescue from Mega Bloks

My husband has been waiting for the day when our children would be old enough to actually create build able playsets with blocks so when the opportunity came along to check out The Blok Squad Fire Patrol Rescue set I'm pretty sure he was just as excited as my son. We have tried other products from Mega Bloks and have enjoyed them, they were geared for my son when he was younger and now my younger two, now that my oldest is six this build able playset was perfect. Featuring 190 pieces it's a lot of fun to put together and creates endless play because you build two vehicles the Fire Rescue Pumper Truck and Fire Patrol ATV ad comes with two firefighters. We've had the product for several weeks and my son plays with it daily, my husband had so much fun actually went out and purchased more but different because of the love both him and my son had while putting it together. I was afraid that the vehicles might come apart easily but my son has not had a problem and if something does fall off, that's just as much part of the fun at putting it back together again. Very affordable at $9.99 you can guarantee there will be many more added to our home and friends as gifts! For more information about Meg Bloks and Blok Squad Buildable Playsets visit MEGABrands. Available at major retailers in the U.S.

I received free product through Team mom to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

Baby K'Tan Baby Carrier & Discount

As many of you know, but I haven't talked about in quite sometime is that I'm a huge baby wearing momma. I have quite the collection of carriers and find them to be an essential product to function with newborns into the toddler years. Recently I was given the opportunity to bring the Baby K'Tan to the attention of the Momma In Flip Flops2 fans, which I was thrilled to do. However with my youngest already being two I wanted to give you an idea with some photo's how the Baby K'Tan can work for the littler ones as well. Note though I have had experience with the Baby K'Tan before this review for my sister with her baby and tried it with my then 6 month old and I personally find it to be a good one.

The lovely lady I asked to demonstrate the Baby K'Tan with her sweet little guy is my good friend Sharon of The Birds Nest. Sharon is one of the reasons I jumped into blogging and babywearing. She's full of knowledge and a wonderful resource. When she first received the Baby K'Tan she wasn't sure since it's actually a sized carrier and had the double loops instead of long material, but soon found out the benefits and has been wearing her babe in the different ways with ease. Her favorite carry was when baby was facing her, but said her little guy loved the Explorer hold and would fall asleep right away each time. Her husband easily mastered the Baby K'Tan and wears baby as well.

I personally wasn't sure about the Baby K'tan either as I really love wrap styled carriers, but yes one of the downsides is all the material. With the Baby K'Tan you have two loops and a support band so there is no long trail of material and you can put it on easily in the different positions. I admit I have not carried my child in all the positions but have tried them all to see if I could master and I found it easy to figure out and was comfortable. My sister wore her little guy a lot in the K'Tan and I remember him always being happy no matter what the position. This carrier is also nice because it's made for men & woman and is sized for XS - XL, available in the breathable mesh & natural or 100% Organic materials as well. Wear your baby in the most comfortable position for their size (8-35 lb) for you and know they're safe next you  in a secure carrier.

Some other benefits I really like about the K'Tan is that it can be washed and dried because like many kids they like to suck on the material. A cute little matching hat is available with the carrier, there's no crazy wrapping, hardware or buckles and it's available in different colors. If you're looking for a wrap type carrier, without the long material that can be in many different carry positions then the Baby K'Tan is for you! Treat yourself and give the Baby K'Tan as a perfect gift by using coupon code: BKFLIP10 for 10% off your purchase. Expires November 10, 2011.

Connect with Baby K'Tan on Facebook & Twitter. Thank you to Baby K'tan for product and Sharon for the photo's to faciliate this review. All opinions are my own.

Schick Razors For Woman Giveway (Ends 10/18)

When I was in college I remember spending big money on the perfect razors for my skin, as time went by I started buying middle of the line products until the last couple of years I actually just have been using the razors my husband was buying. Yes, it's a tad bit embarrassing to admit that but it's true. When I was asked to try out some new Schick products just for woman that were still affordable I was excited and it actually got me thinking about what I was currently using.

The first product I tried was the new Schick Intuition, 2011 limited edition razor which features three new unique handle designs so you can personalize your razor. I also liked that it had it's only holder to stick on to my shower or bathtub. The new Schick Intuition has four blades, pivoting head, and keeps your skin safe from nicks and cuts. The enhanced skin moisturizing solid which is built right around the razor eliminates the need for shave gel, soap or body wash and contains moisturizer to keep your skin looking great. I over all liked the product as it worked well, so well and smooth I didn't think it was doing anything the first time I used it, I had to look a few times to make sure it was taking the hair off. Sure enough it was, it was just not scraping me like my other razors were doing. The only thing that didn't get me super fired up about this razor was that I don't think I got as close of shave & I have bony legs and it was hard to get around my knees.

The next I got to try which got me super excited and is my favorite razor ever is the Schick Quattro for Women TrimStyle. Seriously ladies where has this been all my life? I love it! The razor is available in with or without the trimmer but I tried the one with the trimmer, and are available in the limited edition purple handles. The four ultra-thin blades with pivoting head and ergonomically designed handle are perfect for a close trim while sliding across your knees and hard to read areas with ease. It also has two enhanced conditioning strips making for a more enjoyable shave. I loved the convenient bikini trimming aspect of this and it can be used in the shower (yes it has a batter). A little personal, but yes the bikini area can look great without going somewhere to get it professionally done.Thank you Schick for that- with three length settings you can get the trim you need and desire. Fabulous product.

Don't forget to Skintimate shave gel. I've been using this for a long time and it now gets fashionable with four new limited edition designs by fashion designer Mara Hoffman. It's the #1 women's shave prep brand and just try it and you'll know when. The scents are wonderful and each scent has moisturizers to help your skin, check out each can to see what's best for you. I am looking forward to using the Skintimate Skin Therapy in Dry Skin this winter as my legs are awful in the cold months.

Enjoy shaving and taking care of yourself with these products from Schick.

Win! One Momma in Flip Flops2 reader will win the same products I received mentioned above.
