I absolutely love a gorgeous wreath hanging on my front door, whether it be a fresh wreath or artificial. It's rare you see my door without one. Personalized #Christmas Ornaments from the Ornament Shop

Each and every year since my first child was born my husband and I purchase a unique Christmas ornament for our children. Something that they like that year, they're involved in, etc. Typically I love finding personalized ornaments for them, so when I was introduced to the site Ornament Shop I was eager to check it out and see what they had. The selection is HUGE and I was able to find some unique ornaments that I typically don't find when searching other sites or stores. Specially the hockey ornaments, which my son was thrilled to receive with his name on. It wasn't cheaply made either, making for a perfect ornament for my six year old son. Zillionz Talking Cash Register for the #Holidays

What is it about a cash register that draws kids in? My kids have been wanting one forever and I really didn't get what all the fuss was about. When the opportunity came to check out the Zillionz Talking Cash Register I thought we'd check it out and low and behold kids really do know what they'll like, contrary to what a this parent might think. My kids were ecstatic when it arrived and I have to say I was impressed that it actually scans, has barcodes and knows the numbers for the barcodes, adds and even talks in three different languages. Seriously?? This is some high tech stuff here. My kids really like that it came with money and of course a debit card, can't get much more real than that. Playing store my kids now have a register and barcodes (that are stickers) that are on several of their toys so they can go shopping in the toy room for whatever their heart desires. Oh and did I mention it has a microphone with a speaker? What more could you want!? Definitely check this out if you have kids that are looking for a cash register and one that will teach them something while playing as well. I'd definitely recommend. Lots of fun.

Find It Games :: Starry Night Giveaway (Ends 12/4)

We love games here - so much that we have an entire walk in closet full of just kid and adult games! Recently we were introduced to Find It Games and a Starry Night a new kind of game to add to our closet. My kids were immediately drawn to it because the game comes in a fun little container, shaped like a star full of lots of different objects that you need to find. Lots of fun not only for kids, but for adults as well. My husband and I actually enjoy those find it kind of books (especially with our children) so this has been fun. My kids are below the age for this, but they still liked it. CAT E-Z Machines for the #Holidays

My husband is a contractor so of course he loves playing with construction equipment with our little guy. They were so excited to try out this season's New CAT E-Z Machines. These radio controlled toys are perfect for little "big boy" operators because they don't have a lot of challenging buttons and controls. The loader just spins around when it is turned on and when you push the buttons it can go backwards forwards left or right. Older kids might be frustrated because the steering isn't really precise but as it is designed for small children that wasn't a problem for us at all. My little guy simply loved having his own remote control and operating his loader all over our kitchen! Ragu, Lets Talk Leftovers :: $150 AmEx Gift Card Giveaway (Ends 11/30)

Leftovers. . . what does that mean to your family? It means something completely different to everyone and a great topic to discuss with some ladies at my recent Ragu Mom's The Word on Dinner party. It was wonderful hosting a Mom's Night Out sponsored by Ragu for some of my lady friends. CAT Flashlight Nightlight - Perfect for the #Holidays

It seems like bedtime is a challenge for most families (especially ours!) Our little guy just does not want to go to sleep no matter how worn out he is. One of the things he has started doing recently is crying "light mama light" every time the light goes out. The Big Move

Friends! I just wanted to update you .. my computer is FINALLY fixed. Praise the Lord as it was a struggle not having a work station for nearly a week. Ah! Though my computer is up we are moving this week. Haven't sold this home yet but we closed on the new place today and the moving has begun. There is no denying that Jake & The Never Land Pirates has been a huge hit in our home ever since the first episodes aired nearly a year ago and don't ask us, it's been rated as cables #1 series for boys aged 2-7. If you are unfamiliar with Disney Junior and Jake & The Never Land Pirates then let me tell you about this wonderful show - it's an interactive preschool show that brings team work and problem solving skills to light as your child enjoys music and the fun kid-pirate characters Jake, Izvzy and Cubby along with the famous Captain Hook and many other characters. My kids never get sick of Jake & The Never Land Pirates and love to watch daily on Disney Junior 8:30/9AM EST/PST and are thrilled when new episodes are on. My husband and I can even stand watching the show which is a definite bonus when your kids love it!

In time for the holidays Jake and the Never Land Pirates as a great holiday episode titled It's A Winter Never Land! / Hook On Ice. A great episode that your children will love to see airs Friday, December 2 (8:30-9:00 am, ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Set your reminder and DVR for this great winter treasure hunt.

Whether you're familiar with Jake & the Never Land Pirates or this is the first time you've heard about it and Disney Junior I was thrilled when I read that Disney will have brand new standalone 24 hour Disney Junior Channel. I can't tell you how many times I wished the programs that were available in the morning would be on throughout the day for my little ones and apparently I wasn't the only one wishing this because Disney Channel listened and this plans to launch early in 2012. In the meantime, sit down and watch an episode of Jake and the Never Land pirates with your little pirates, you won't be disappointed matte! Before you know it you'll have a little one running around saying "ahoy" like I do.

When it comes to the holiday season I don't know many boys that don't have some type of foam dart gun on their Christmas wish list. With all the boys in our family and adding more all the time we are always looking for products of this nature that bring a lot of fun and work great. We recently received the Air Zone Quickfire Twin pack for my son, his friends and even my husband to enjoy (okay, so I can't deny that I've had a pretty good time playing as well). What I really liked is that this was available in the twin pack, because we all know it's not nearly as fun playing by yourself, you need two. The twin pack comes with two foam dark guns, cartridges and your foam darts. These are so much fun, we have mini wars all over the house and these really fly across the room, which is a lot of fun for hiding behind the couch and getting daddy when he walks in the door. I definitely highly recommend this product if you have any boys that you're looking to purchase gifts for.

Psychobaby Custom Apparel

When it comes to apparel for my children they wear a variety of styles, whether it be classic pieces to funky and fun things. I let what appeals to them be what they wear as well so you never know what they're going to be wearing, but it's always fun. Recently I was introduced to Psychobaby, a site that carries funky children and baby clothes and lots of customizable options. The possibility of products and the way you want them are endless and they carry a number of popular labels. I immediately loved the rock and roll Varsity Monogram Tee for my youngest son. I don't get a lot of personalized products but I could see him in this for sure. I was impressed when the product arrived, his name was correct and it was made well. A lot of times customized products do not live up to my standard for the price, but this shirt definitely met my expectations. It fits great and hasn't appeared to shrink at all. Computer Down

Wanted to do a quick update that things will be a little slow here for the next two weeks. I will be posting but not many updates on twitter and facebook so keep checking back. First off my main computer broke down (which is my main work station) and hopefully they will be able to have it up and running by the weekend but that's not for sure. Second we are moving next week so things will be all over the place with that. Hopefully have things back to normal soon! Thanks for your understanding.

Ragu - Upside-Down Deep Dish Pizza Recipe

I honestly didn't know before becoming a Ragu Mom Ambassador that you could use Ragu sauce in so many different ways. Recently my family tried the Upside-Down Deep Dish Pizza and used both Ragu pasta sauce and pizza sauce. It was a hit for the entire family and though I don't take the best pictures and mine turned out a tad runny it was definitely one we will make in the future. Add this to your menu, your family will love you.

Ingredients:

• 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli OR spinach, thawed and squeezed dry (optional)
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated pizza crust
• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 (26 ounce) jar Ragu® Old World Style® Sweet Tomato Basil Smooth Pasta Sauce

Directions: 

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Brown ground beef in 12-inch nonstick skillet; drain and season, if desired, with salt and ground black pepper. Stir in pasta sauce and bring to a boil; turn into 2-quart baking dish.
2. Top with broccoli, then cheese. Place pizza dough over dish, sealing edges tightly.
3. Bake 20 minutes or until crust is golden. Let stand 10 minutes. 

My modifications. I made two and actually used my own home made pizza crust which worked great. Secondly I did not add the frozen broccoli or spinach but made a peperoni one & a vegie, so added those products in place of the other. All fresh.  I also didn't add ground beef but wished I would have, as it would have been thicker. I used Ragu pasta sauce in one and Ragu pizza sauce in the other. Both were delicious. Note, I was in a hurry and didn't let stand for 10 minutes before I served (as you can tell!) Definitely a recipe to try for sure.

One of my favorite traditions my mother in law does is purchasing Christmas ornaments for her kids and grandkids every Thanksgiving. I know she puts thought into it as we all get an ornament that's unique to us and she has to be on top of it to make sure she has something before Thanksgiving. It's not denying I'm a huge candle lover and an even bigger Yankee candle fan. I received a few different samples to try out in my home and I was thrilled because they weren't any fragrances I had tried before. One being the Warm Wool Mittens, at first I wasn't sure if this would be one of my favorites with a more sweet smell but the fragrance has become a delight and I burn it frequently. The Balsam & Cedar has always been a scent my husband and loves and it instantly brings the smell of a fresh pine tree and Christmas into my home (I think). I of course had to try this one out, but will be saving it for the Christmas season for sure.

I always love shopping Yankee candle over the holidays because of the wonderful holiday box sets available - they make for great gifts and you need not do hardly anything. I received a sampler, perfect for a gift with the Mountain Berry, Cherries on Snow and Christmas Rose.
