One of my goals this year was to step out of my ... "I wear the same shirt/pants the same way all the time and never mix them up." I like fashion, but I get stuck in this.. oh I like it this way and that's how I'm going to wear it. Well.. I decided to wear the same piece a different way, every single time I wore it. My own personal challenge!
Since I am totally in love with the
Chambray shirt.. yes it's a denim shirt.. and my husband asks me every single time.. when are you going to wear the Canadian Tuxedo (you know, denim jeans with the denim shirt.. which I should do.. but I'm limited on regular jeans at the moment.) I decided it would be a piece I would share with you all.. it's beyond versatile.. I didn't even know it myself until I started trying it different ways.
Below are seven different ways I've styled the Chambray top so far.. the possibilities are endless! What do you think? Want a Chambray shirt yet?

Love chambray!! I love the different ways you have mixed this shirt! You look fantastic! Your husband sounds a lot like mine! He tells me I look like a cowboy when I wear my chambray shirt.
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela.. oh yeah.. these boys and their words.. cowboy, Canadian Tuxedo. LOL! It took my awhile to embrace the Chambray.. I just keep thinking about my younger days and .. I wouldn't be caught dead. However I'm loving it so far. :)

Thanks Lori. There are so many more ways.. I could probably do another post.. just maybe I will. :) The top I have is from Old Navy.. new spring collection. I also love the ones that button down the entire front.. I saw a super cute one at Kohls (not my size though). Thanks for stopping by and let me know if you find one.

ReplyDeleteI tend to wear mine like a layering piece under everything from summer dresses/jumpers to flannel shirts {I like the way it mellows out the cuff if I roll up both sleeves}. I also use it to tone down a lot of action on the bottom, like sequined skirts or bold-printed pants.

Thanks Kate! I love your ideas as well & like I said to the last commenter, I really could do another entire post on ways to wear. I'm limited right now because I'm breastfeeding (and need easy, quick access) and I'm still in some maternity/transition clothing. :)
DeleteI love my chambray shirt! Its longer so I can wear different colored tanks underneath, with leggings and boots its a fun casual look! And like you showed us is easily dressed up too:)
