Typically when I think or talk to others about Valentine's it's a day for you and your sweet heart.. what am I going to get, where should we go to dinner and so on. I can honestly say I have more fun with Valentine's Day with my children than anything (not that my sweetie can't do something special for me.. hint, hint!)

It's been sometime since I talked about what I use for my monthly womanly cycle - and let me just say I'm not one that's shy to share with you things, many would say are a bit too personal or just out of their comfort zone ... my menstrual cycle. When I had my youngest nearly two and half years ago I decided I was going to try cloth menstrual pads for my post-partum bleeding, mostly because of just how awful regular pads are. However, it took me a long time to even get to that point of "thinking" maybe I'd like to give them a try because quite honestly it sounded kind of nasty to a girl who typically uses tampons.. I however was absolutely blown away, and won't be using disposable pads ever again. All momma pads, if that's what you'd like to call them are different though. I have had the opportunity to try a few different kinds and they are most definitely not all the same. Recently I had the chance to try the Leak-Proof WillowPads from The Willow Store. I've only had the chance to use this through two menstrual cycles but I have been very pleased. Get Creative with IdeaPaint :: Giveaway (Ends 2/10) #DIY

Let me start out this review by saying, I am a dry erase addict. When we moved (and until just recently) my dry erase board was removed and never put back. It was always on my refrigerator and now that my fridge is no-longer magnetic (and we are slow at getting things on the wall) my life has been in utter chaos. I need my dry erase board! When I had the opportunity to feature IdeaPaint, I immediately put my creative mind to work and decided I was going to make a more decorative Dry Erase board for my new home.

What I did was find a size board I wanted to use - something with a very smooth surface so I didn't have to do any sanding. I then picked out trim I liked and my husband cut it to look like a picture frame, and I painted it the color I wanted. Then came IdeaPaint - I painted it on the board as they suggested, in a well ventilated area and applied liberally. It comes with two cans you mix together (very easy) and a roller to roll it on with. You do need something to put the roller on and a container for the paint (of course). I then started rolling .. and I do recommend putting it on liberally like they say .. not using it before I wasn't exactly sure how thick I wanted it, but you want it fairly thick so it's a smoother surface to write on and wipes away easier. I have a few spots on my board that weren't quite as thick and though it works fine, it doesn't wipe away as easy or write as smooth. After I painted you must let it dry for seven days before writing. Once I waited the seven days we put the trim on the board, I glued some flowers on the edge and it's now hanging on my wall and my life is back to normal!

IdeaPaint works just as well as they say it does and would be great for any creative work station - or what I did, my own personalized dry erase board.

Sweet Baked Goods from Weight Watchers

I have never been on Weight Watchers myself, but I do have several family members and friends who swear by the Weight Watchers system. So though I don't have first hand knowledge on the point system I do know how it works and how precious each of those points are that you get for your daily intake. Recently my family and I had the opportunity to try the Blueberry Muffin, and Double Chocolate Muffin from the Sweet Baked Good selection from Weight Watchers. Each muffin is valued at 4 points, 160 calories and made with either real wild blueberries or real chocolate chips. When it comes to diet food, I usually turn my nose up because the taste is never very good. However with these Weight Watchers muffins we were pleasantly surprised. I'm not a big muffin fan but both weren't half bad and my husband and children absolutely loved them. These are great for a sweet craving, or even a morning snack if you are looking for a healthier alternative to a muffin while working on staying healthy and fit. Now that we've had the chance to try the muffins, I look forward to trying other Weight Watchers products in our home soon.

Family Game Night4 for the Wii

Anything called Family Game Night is going to draw my attention, as we love to play all kinds of games here, especially as a family. As our children are getting older we are loving the Wii more and more and always on the lookout for games the entire family can play. I have heard lots about the Family Game Night games and was excited for the opportunity to check out Family Game Night4 for the Wii from EA Play. The game is fun and features Connect 4 basketball, Scrabble Flash, Bop It, Yahtzee Bowling and Sorry Sliders. My husband and I loved playing, but the kids had a little bit of a difficult time at first. Our six year old has gotten the hang of it, but my four year old isn't quite old enough for it yet. I did think the graphics could be a little better, but over all it's a fun family game for the family and with it being rated E for everyone, it's appropriate for the family to enjoy. If you're a game playing family, and we all know as the kids get older video games are even more popular - this is a great one to add to your Wii collection. Figure 8 Maternity :: Charlie Banana Cloth Diaper Giveaway (Ends 1/25)

During my last pregnancy I was introduced to Figure 8 Maternity, a lovely site that carries several maternity items but also nursing apparel, post-partum products and accessories, as well as many type of baby items. I didn't, however realize they also carry a vast selection of cloth diapers from several different brands. Most knowing that we love fluff in our household, I was glad to try a new diaper we have never used before but I've heard a lot about -- Charlie Banana and Figure 8 Maternity keeps them in stock, in several different colors, patterns, and sizes. We received the Charlie Banana 2-in-1, One-Sized cloth diaper in black for my son. So far I have been thrilled with the function of this pocket diaper. The snap buttons allow for a children of different sizes to wear with ease, my son being close to 2.5 is getting close to potty training and weighs just about 30 lbs, so this diaper is on it's largest setting. I love the adjustable elastic in the legs making for a wonderful secure fit and providing no leaks for us so far! I have problems with my son not wanting to wear certain cloth diapers and this is one that he never complains about. Overall I've been very happy with this diaper and am very glad to have it added to our fluffy collection, I would definitely recommend it.

A Favorite Children's Series :: Little Bear on DVD

One of my all time favorite children series shows for my children is Little Bear. I love this show as much as my children. I love how Little Bears curiosity takes him on all sorts of adventures by using his imagination with his friends all while Mother Bear is watching out for him. Each and every single episode is sweet, caring and shows children how fun it is to use your imagination, explore and have fun. All my children have loved this show as well as my siblings, and not only the show but the books that they're based off of as well. I was thrilled when I found out that Phase 4 Films carried DVD's with several Little Bear episodes, especially since at the time of receiving we weren't getting Little Bear on cable. Anymore it's so hard to find television shows that are pure and loving that you know are wholesome for your child to watch and we all know we need a little variety when we actually do find shows that have these qualities. If you've never heard of Little Bear and are looking for any of those characteristics in a show I guarantee you will love the Little Bear, Seaside Adventures.

This time of year I feel like I always forget about eating healthy. Yesterday my family had a massive baking day and I went home loaded up with 5 huge tins chock full of all kinds of delicious but deadly cookies. Race your friends or drive around showing off your realistic vehicle this will turn heads. One thing all these vehicles have in common.. they look like the real thing and every guys dream. We recently had a group of boys over and all loved it, making one know for sure that no matter what vehicle from DUB Garage toys would be a fore sure hit.

I absolutely love a gorgeous wreath hanging on my front door, whether it be a fresh wreath or artificial. It's rare you see my door without one. Each and every year since my first child was born my husband and I purchase a unique Christmas ornament for our children. I really love to use these together, but my favorite is the lengthening as it truly does it's job without clumps. Zillionz Talking Cash Register for the #Holidays

What is it about a cash register that draws kids in? My kids have been wanting one forever and I really didn't get what all the fuss was about. When the opportunity came to check out the Zillionz Talking Cash Register I thought we'd check it out and low and behold kids really do know what they'll like, contrary to what a this parent might think. My kids were ecstatic when it arrived and I have to say I was impressed that it actually scans, has barcodes and knows the numbers for the barcodes, adds and even talks in three different languages. Seriously?? This is some high tech stuff here. My kids really like that it came with money and of course a debit card, can't get much more real than that. Playing store my kids now have a register and barcodes (that are stickers) that are on several of their toys so they can go shopping in the toy room for whatever their heart desires. Oh and did I mention it has a microphone with a speaker? What more could you want!? Definitely check this out if you have kids that are looking for a cash register and one that will teach them something while playing as well. I'd definitely recommend. Lots of fun.

We love games here - so much that we have an entire walk in closet full of just kid and adult games! Recently we were introduced to Find It Games and a Starry Night a new kind of game to add to our closet. My kids were immediately drawn to it because the game comes in a fun little container, shaped like a star full of lots of different objects that you need to find. Lots of fun not only for kids, but for adults as well. My husband and I actually enjoy those find it kind of books (especially with our children) so this has been fun. Great for car rides as well because it's all contained. It comes with a little pad with objects to find that you can check off. I personally love it because everything stays put so I don't care if my kids play with it (no mess) and they can shake, twist, toss whatever to find those objects. My kids are below the age for this, but they still liked it. Especially because some objects actually glow in the dark, not many and it can be a challenge to see them at times, but that in itself was fun just trying to find them. CAT E-Z Machines for the #Holidays

My husband is a contractor so of course he loves playing with construction equipment with our little guy. They were so excited to try out this season's New CAT E-Z Machines. These radio controlled toys are perfect for little "big boy" operators because they don't have a lot of challenging buttons and controls. The loader just spins around when it is turned on and when you push the buttons it can go backwards forwards left or right. Older kids might be frustrated because the steering isn't really precise but as it is designed for small children that wasn't a problem for us at all. My little guy simply loved having his own remote control and operating his loader all over our kitchen! The CAT E-Z Machines are also easy to turn on by simply pressing the big button on the top and the small remote is just the right size for little hands. After sharing out left over stories I enjoyed coming up with ways on how we might be able to spice up those old meals, send them with the husband for work (my husband loves this), or looking into ways we can get creative with making them into other meals.. I'm having a hard time with that one. This topic is being discussed at www.facebook.com/ragusauce and some people are amazing.. I'm looking to them for some more inspiration.

It was wonderful hosting a Mom's Night Out sponsored by Ragu for some of my lady friends. We all enjoyed a comfort food of ours - spaghetti with the Sauteed Onion and Mushroom sauce over noodles, along with salad, bread, snicker salad and a lovely conversation with desert! I was thrilled to share that Ragu can be used in so many ways other than just on pasta dishes and I continue to use it in many dishes (watch for more to come). All of my ladies went home with a gift basket to treat their family with a home cooked meal on myself and Ragu. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed hosting. CAT Flashlight Nightlight - Perfect for the #Holidays

It seems like bedtime is a challenge for most families (especially ours!) Our little guy just does not want to go to sleep no matter how worn out he is. One of the things he has started doing recently is crying "light mama light" every time the light goes out. If you are having trouble with your bed-time routine you should add the CAT flashlight and nightlight to your holiday list. It comes in both dump truck and bulldozer styles, we got the chance to review the dump truck. This toy is really neat because it is truly 3 products in one, flashlight, nightlight and toy truck. Our little guy loved pushing this around our house and didn't even realize until I showed him how it operated as a flashlight. You can keep it separate so it is a "special toy" for night-time and then bring it out as a special toy just for bed. We love to read and use the flashlight while reading a story. The Big Move

Friends! I just wanted to update you .. my computer is FINALLY fixed. Praise the Lord as it was a struggle not having a work station for nearly a week. Ah! Though my computer is up we are moving this week. Haven't sold this home yet but we closed on the new place today and the moving has begun. Hoping to be completely settled by next week but once again things will be slow here. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Disney Junior :: Jake & The Never Land Pirates #JakePirates

There is no denying that Jake & The Never Land Pirates has been a huge hit in our home ever since the first episodes aired nearly a year ago and don't ask us, it's been rated as cables #1 series for boys aged 2-7. If you are unfamiliar with Disney Junior and Jake & The Never Land Pirates then let me tell you about this wonderful show - it's an interactive preschool show that brings team work and problem solving skills to light as your child enjoys music and the fun kid-pirate characters Jake, Izvzy and Cubby along with the famous Captain Hook and many other characters. My kids never get sick of Jake & The Never Land Pirates and love to watch daily on Disney Junior 8:30/9AM EST/PST and are thrilled when new episodes are on. My husband and I can even stand watching the show which is a definite bonus when your kids love it!

In time for the holidays Jake and the Never Land Pirates as a great holiday episode titled It's A Winter Never Land! / Hook On Ice. A great episode that your children will love to see airs Friday, December 2 (8:30-9:00 am, ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Set your reminder and DVR for this great winter treasure hunt.

Whether you're familiar with Jake & the Never Land Pirates or this is the first time you've heard about it and Disney Junior I was thrilled when I read that Disney will have brand new standalone 24 hour Disney Junior Channel. I can't tell you how many times I wished the programs that were available in the morning would be on throughout the day for my little ones and apparently I wasn't the only one wishing this because Disney Channel listened and this plans to launch early in 2012. When it comes to the holiday season I don't know many boys that don't have some type of foam dart gun on their Christmas wish list. With all the boys in our family and adding more all the time we are always looking for products of this nature that bring a lot of fun and work great. We recently received the Air Zone Quickfire Twin pack for my son, his friends and even my husband to enjoy (okay, so I can't deny that I've had a pretty good time playing as well). What I really liked is that this was available in the twin pack, because we all know it's not nearly as fun playing by yourself, you need two. The twin pack comes with two foam dark guns, cartridges and your foam darts. These are so much fun, we have mini wars all over the house and these really fly across the room, which is a lot of fun for hiding behind the couch and getting daddy when he walks in the door. When it comes to apparel for my children they wear a variety of styles, whether it be classic pieces to funky and fun things. I let what appeals to them be what they wear as well so you never know what they're going to be wearing, but it's always fun. Recently I was introduced to Psychobaby, a site that carries funky children and baby clothes and lots of customizable options. The possibility of products and the way you want them are endless and they carry a number of popular labels. I immediately loved the rock and roll Varsity Monogram Tee for my youngest son. I don't get a lot of personalized products but I could see him in this for sure. I was impressed when the product arrived, his name was correct and it was made well. Computer Down

Wanted to do a quick update that things will be a little slow here for the next two weeks. I will be posting but not many updates on twitter and facebook so keep checking back. First off my main computer broke down (which is my main work station) and hopefully they will be able to have it up and running by the weekend but that's not for sure.
