I've heard of dressbarn many times before, seen the store, heard people say they've purchased something from dressbarn, but to be completely honest, I never had a desire to enter the store. Why, because I always thought the only products they sold were matronly dresses that weren't trendy or "my style", oh boy was I wrong. When I had the opportunity to feature dressbarn in our spring fashion event really was the first time I can remember that I actively browsed the site. I found a selection of trendy apparel for women and misses that were my style and definitely worth taking the time to check out. They're not only cute, but affordable at that. We all know bright fabulous colors are the thing this season, so many cute things popping up that just scream spring and summer. Dressbarn has lots of clothing that shout color, among many neutral products as well. I was surprised also at the different sorts of things, dresses for weddings, proms, casual attire, where have I been!? This is a one stop shop! I received the Tired Blouson Dress, cute for spring and summer. Unfortunately it was a bigger size than I needed, but I could tell it would have looked lovely if the right size, I was just a bozo when ordering. I have to mention too that I've been smitten over the cute Polkadot Shoulder Ruffle and Striped Belted Colorblock dresses that are really just so cute, don't you think!? You don't have to answer that, just get to your closest dressbarn, whether online or boutique near you. I know your still on the look for a cute Easter dress. Be sure to read what Ellen of Thrifty & Chic Mom had to say about her apparel from dressbarn, I hear she's got several pieces from them that she loves.

My favorite dress ever was what I called my "dance festival" dress when I was maybe 3 or 4 years old. It was yellow and white and had a little attached vest that had criss-crossing ties on it. I loved it and wore it as much as I could. My sister found a vintage pattern for it and made one for my daughter for Christmas 2010 and I totally cried!!

My favorite dress of all time is my prom dress - my Mom customized a simple black gown. It literally sparkled. I still wore it to formal functions when I was in college. It was a size 3 - I can't believe I was that small. I still have the dress...for memories. Email: yona(at)pricelesswriters.com

ReplyDeleteToss up between my wedding gown and my little, black Jones NY number that I had to buy b/c we'd gone to a wedding in Florida and I'd forgotten the dress I was supposed to wear! (trying to save money and wear the same dress to two weddings that summer, but ended up spending twice as much... :P )
ReplyDeleteI had this dress when I was 10 and it had several ruffle layers for the skirt. It was a pretty floral print. When it became to short to wear as a dress I wore it with leggings.

I made a dress about 40 years ago that used a ton of fabric. The part that made it special was that The skirt of it was so full that I could lay the dress down and have it make a complete circle. I loved to twirl in it :)

I have a darling little vintage dress that my grandma sewed for my aunt back in the 60s. I love it! I wore it all the time in high school, but I'm not as slender as I was back then so it's been hanging in my closet for awhile. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd put this towards the Abstract Print Shantung Dress.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite dress was my wedding dress. Very simple, but I loved it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite dress of all time was one that my Grandma bought for me back in the mid=80s. It was an army green color and in the "coat-dress" style, with lots of brass buttons all the way up the front. It looked so classy & conservative & stylish & pulled-together.
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be my senior prom dress. It was white and lacy and NOT homemade like most of my clothes!

ReplyDeleteHmmm...I really liked a purple dress I wore to some banquets. It was pretty and sparkly. I'm not in love with it anymore though. I have seen some really pretty dresses at Modcloth, Anthropology, etc. that I would love to have.

My favorite was a denim looking 2 piece skirt set that I had years ago. It was so comfy and I loved it, unfortunatley, I did get into a car accident with it on and the paramedics cut it off of me...I never ever could replace it.
