Women's Jeans from Dickies #Giveaway (Ends 10/31)

Let’s face it: Blue jeans have gotten complicated over the years. Especially for women: low-rise, high wasted, mid-rise, dark wash, stone wash, pop of color, boot-cut, straight leg, skinny, super skinny, embellished rear pockets, bedazzled fronts…I mean it is endless! And for a mom like me, sometimes it is too much. There are just those times when you need straight-forward, easy to choose, well made, comfortable, versatile classic blue jeans. If you are not familiar with Dickies, let me introduce you.

The collection for women comes in four styles (slim straight, slim boot cut, relaxed straight, relaxed boot cut) and seven washes (rinsed black, vintage dark, antique dark, antique light, dark stone wash, medium stone wash, light stone wash). I chose the slim straight leg in vintage dark wash.  Here’s what I love about them. The color is great. The length of the jeans is great. They are true to size. They well-made and durable. But here is the best part: The first day I wore these jeans I really put them to the fullest mom test: Library program with two kids, grocery shopping at two stores, fire prevention activity at kids school, making dinner, playing with kids outside, and putting kids to bed. The jeans held up great! And I can’t wait to convert them into “out on the town with girlfriends” jeans.  Here you can see that I paired the jeans with every day wear as well as dressed-up gear. They really are versatile.

So after seeing all Dickies has to offer me for jeans (which is saying a lot because I am picky about jeans), I can’t wait to see about getting their jeans for everyone in the family. Jeans can get so expensive so quickly, and while I have justified “paying more to get more quality” before, now I don’t have to. The jeans are made of a cotton-poly spandex blend found mostly in designer denim, but Dickies’ collection is available at a fraction of the cost.  Its a win-win for everybody!

  15. My biggest trouble with jeans is just finding a pair that fits comfortably everywhere. I have a smaller waist and bigger butt/thighs, so the waist of my jeans is usually too big (I hate that gap lol) or the jeans are too tight on my legs.

  30. It is a challenge to find brands that offer jeans with waists other than low and superlow. The bulk of the population needs jeans with different waist options than what a teenybopper desires.

    ReplyDelete
  31. It's difficult when brands only offer low and superlow waists. Some companies are clearly geared to a youthful audience, but mainstream brands should be offering choices for the mature women who have no desire to dress like a teen!
