Cute Clothing on a Coupon Budget

"Consideration was received for the editing and publishing of this article."

Manufacturer's coupons are for the essentials. Well, really they're for what the manufacturers want consumers to thing are essential. Is little Sarah concerned with a 50-cents off Charmin coupon? Probably not, but you are. The oft-clipped coupons from the weekly circular are handy if you're buying a grocery carts worth of essentials. Sarah knows Mommy will sometimes only buy the good peanut butter if there's a coupon for it. Otherwise, your child doesn't really miss the taste of Jif. Peanut butter is peanut butter.

However, if your child wants the same shirt his friend has, but maybe in a fire truck red color, you really have no choice but to get him that shirt. Sure, Adam could do without, you say in your parental mind. But you also want to cater to your child's tastes and make him feel every bit as important as his friend does. Unfortunately, there's no manufacturer coupon for that shirt. In fact there's no clothing company coupons, period.

But the savvy shopper knows there's a retailer out there who has some discount for that very shirt. Brick-and-mortar stores and their online counterparts are constantly distributing mailings both printed in your mailbox and digitally in your inbox. Everyone is vying for your hard-earned dollars in a quest to provide you with savings and them with added business. What the manufacturer fails to provide, most retailers will make up for.

In this day and age, many retailers offer special discounts for online shoppers. Your time is a precious commodity and so is your pocketbook. Finding merchandise on store websites might be the way you prefer to do things. Less gas spent driving across town; more time spent helping Sarah and Adam with their homework. On weekends, when you have time to venture into the store, you comparison shop. Sure, it's great to see your child try on the clothes and feel the fabric against his skin. But will you be getting the best bang for your buck? Online searches make it easy.

Retailers know you're going to go online. They also know there's stiff competition out there. As a result, many offer discounts to entice you to click and buy now. Things like promo codes and online coupons are an effective way for the merchants to extend their reach from their physical location and into your living room. That percentage-off code or free shipping discount may be all you need to make your online purchase. They're banking you'll be saving so much, you;ll add more to your virtual cart. Let's face it: we all love a good bargain.

Even clothing stores specializing in children's attire provide discounts for the financially conscious parent. Hanna Andersson coupons coupons can be sent directly to your email or mailed to your home address for use online or in store. Justice clothing is consistently offering percentage-off discounts in their online store with a coupon code right on their home page. Carter's offers similar discounts on new clothing lines. They all want your business and you want your child to be fashionable. Don' worry, even if your child is too young to tell you what's hip, we have a great resource for newborns.

The true essential in being a parent is caring for your child. Regardless of the peanut butter or toilet paper brand you buy for your home, one thing is constant: your child cares about what they wear. You do too. But you needn't fuss over the cost. With so many retailers competing for your business, you're bound to find Adam's shirt or Sarah's spring dress at a greater discount than what any sticker price reads. Your child will be happy. And so will you. Win-win. Isn't that what parenting is all about?

  1. I don't know what I'd do without coupons, both for groceries and for clothing. With three boys and a baby girl, coupons are really what keeps us on budget, and the kids do not miss a thing.

    1. I need to get better about coupons. I don't always know where to find them. I definitely use them online & search but when I go to the store for groceries, etc. I never do.
