Welcome to
What I Wore Real Mom Style! First off I wanted to share that I have officially been considered a real fashion blogger from a great community, and I can't wait to dive in head first with more from that, stay tuned. Along those lines, I truly hope some of my fashion sparks some creativity among you awesome ladies out there. We all have flaws, our bodies are different sizes and shapes, yet we should still be able to feel good no matter what our size or clothing budgets. I'm hear to tell you.. I'm for real! I've had four babies and been pregnant six times, I have ups and down. I love fashion though & it may not be top notch, but I feel comfortable in my own skin!! That's why we started Real Mom Style, because we may not have been models but we still look and feel great. Rock on Mommas!!!
I wore this outfit to our local mom's group (wave to my local friends) & hosted movie night this past week. I've been gardening outside all week, so it felt nice to get dressed out of my work-like clothes & do my hair.. to not only look presentable but feel nice too. I'm loving my little guys shadow in this photo.. I'm creating future photographers my friends. Ha!
I'm digging the mint pants lately and these went on sale a couple of weeks ago and I snatched them up as soon as I saw them on Facebook. I have so many ideas for them! I also got this top while thrifting (thanks to all you ladies showing all the fabulous things you find while thrifting), however I know why they got rid of it. It's next to impossible to hold a baby without all the sequences falling off everywhere. I felt like a shedding dog and won't be wearing it anymore. It was fun though!

This post is about real moms who have real style. While we all fall
into the jeans and t-shirt rut we are encouraging our fellow moms to
take the time to dress their best and rock it like the rock star moms
they are! Did you look especially good this week, were the other moms at
the playground complimenting your outfit? Share the look that worked
for both potty training, the playground and coffee with a friend and
let’s inspire each other with some real mom fashion!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Denise. :) The shirt I ended up tossing in the garbage. So sad, but the sequins just kept falling off everywhere.
DeleteI love this outfit and those mint pants are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI know, I'm so glad I ordered them. I have a pair of blush pink, same style coming and I can't wait to wear them. :)
DeleteI thought this outfit looked great together! The sequins on the top are so fun!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen, the sequins are fun.. for the kids to pick up. HA! :)

Thanks Karen. :)
DeleteWhat a great idea! I love the "what I wore" posts I see all over, but have never done one as I don't have a personal style yet, and can't afford designer clothes...just felt funny, you know? But it's awesome to see REAL people in these posts, and I will definitely have to be brave and make my own, now, and link up sometime :)
ReplyDeleteI can't buy designer clothes either. Its just what u wear.. your personal look. Doing the what I wore posts takes you out of your comfort zone and makes you think how you could style and mix it up for a different look. Join in sometime. :)
DeleteLove the touch of sparkle.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI actually love your real mom style posts at your blog and over at Thrifty & Chic mom's too, both of you love to mix up your outfits, have fun with style, and prove that being a mom doesn't mean you have to be frumpy looking... keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michele. :)
