My kids were excited to get to see Mickey, Minnie and the whole gang in person.. my five and three year old were practically jumping out of their seats in excitement. When the show started Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck were on stage, lots of dancing and being silly. As the show went on we got to see Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie.. which was a shortened version of the real movie. Main songs were sang and lots of dancing, fast motions and excitement that made the kids laugh. My daughter especially liked when Aladdin and Jasmine were on the flying carpet that really looked as though it was flying.
The Little Mermaid was next, with Aerial singing, combing her hair with a fork, Sebastian throwing a fit and even Ursula the sea witch (which was a little scary). During "Under the Sea" the lights were lowered and the fish were glowing in the dark.. very colorful! The entire audience was oohing and aahing. I of course loved the "Just Kiss the Girl", one of the classic songs from the movie. My daughter got a kick out of all the mermaids singing "All the Single Ladies" and they definitely had the moves. The actors were perfect for all the scenes, exaggerating the parts perfectly and even looked like the characters from the movie.
Toy Story was the last of the movie's and all of my kids got a kick out of Woody, Jessy, Buzz and Bullseye but were thrilled with the real like toy soldiers. Of course Jessy and Woody are real upbeat, getting the kids excited. We liked watching them jumping in a huge rope and then Bullseye actually get in on the action. This was yet another favorite of the audience, everyone was shouting out of excitement. My boys loved seeing Buzz come out along with several astroids (big balls) that were thrown into the audience to bounce around!
The end featured all the characters coming out along with Mickey and friends. More singing, dancing, goofing around and in the end a blast of confetti. If you're looking for a fun show for the younger kids, check out Mickeys' Music Festival. It's just the right amount of time, features your favorite Disney friends, brings all sorts of music into the show that you can relate too but is definitely for kids. I'd love to know if you made it or are planning to attend when they visit your city. There are still two more showings tomorrow, March 17th in Rosemont.
I received complimentary tickets for this feature, all opinions are my own.
That looks so fun i wish it was coming here my kids would love it!
ReplyDeleteThe kids really did enjoy it. Too bad they aren't coming to your area. I guess this wasn't really in my area either though. ;)
